  • Impudence! My comment was rejected. ^_^

The expert say that there's only 10, 15 years left -- after that the window of opportunity closes. Arstechnica had a piece a few weeks ago that stated just that.

However, they are missing something: Technical feasibility is one thing political another. This doesn't mean all is lost.

Essentially, it's needs big time research. Like Apollo 11, it can't be done by the markets. But this time it would require China, India, USA to do it -- and that's the problem.

  • Anyone who is unsure about climate change I recommend visiting potholer54's youtube channel and watching the videos on his "Climate Change" playlist. He does a great job making his videos and backs them up with peer-reviewed science.

  • Of course there are other issues than just the state of the oceans and we need to be more aware of all of them.... still really simple though. A cleaner planet (air, water, land) will continue to sustain life here so just figure it out and do it!!

  • ...but we are doing it just the same. A lot of the comments below are rude and appear to be extremely biased on both sides of the issue. I cannot believe that in this modern age we are fighting over some really simple issues - WE NEED TO CLEAN UP OUR PLANET TO ENSURE HUMAN LIFE WILL CONTINUE BEYOND OUR LIFETIMES!!! Do you live in a garbage dump? Why would any creature want to do so? We are creating garbage dumps in our oceans so we need to clean it up - SIMPLE!!

  • I'm shocked and amazed.... I'm not educated - not a scientist or ecologist or any other "-ist" but there are some basic facts that even a 10yr-old knows about our planet and they are: humans who live in garbage get sick, humans breathe out CO2, and we need food, plants, and animals on this planet to help us survive. If you think about this for just a second you will realize that we are killing our planet!! Maybe not to the extent that the politicians would have us believe (...scare tactics...)

  • Man Made Climate Change = Fraud.

  • It was an interesting interview, unfortunately Pablo was stretching some facts. It would be helpful if Paul Jay mentioned them in an epilogue instead of giving the speaker a free pass. Pablo is right that the US must take the lead on this issue and in doing so shame China. Shutting down coal-fired plants and replacing with alternative plants that produce electricity at the same cost or less will not hurt us, let's just build them, create the jobs, and move forward. Only a Green President can do.

  • What about the overall cost of the on going Chemtrail operations?

  • Zombie...jeez

  • I didn't expect to hear hoaxes on the "the Real news" network.

    where is the criticism?

Man made Climate change theory just another lie to scare and control, just as the lie of 9/11.

So foolishly naive are the people of this generation when will we start learning from our experience/history which is one of the very basic learning skill.

  • @fahfeez CO2 goes up, temp goes up.

Man makes CO2. Man makes temp go up.

    1+1=2

    Learn math moron :-D

  • @watercup123456 4th I suggest you should call yourself a propagandist or rather a victim of a propaganda, which means you been literally an industrial product and thats the propaganda industry I am talking about.

  • @fahfeez So you are just one of those run of the mill fools that I mentioned in my original comment who think what they have learned in the school was all they actually needed to learn and never actually get to learned to use their own heads

1st. we are not talking maths here 2nd. you need to learn very basic critical thinking and reasoning skills. 3rd just learning a few terms won't make you an ecologist. Go join the school again.

  • @fahfeez Anthropogenic global warming is a proven fact you stupid fuck.

So much for basic reasoning and critical thinking skills huh ;-D

    Fucking moron.

Yes what you learn in school follows along what is going on in real life.

How fucking absolutely insane and stupid are you?

I'm a victim of propaganda? Would that be the fossil fuel propaganda that tries to lie to people that anthropogenic global warming isn't real or cause by humans?

Because it's very real and definitely caused by humans!

  • @fahfeez Are you trolling? Because what you are saying is unbelievable... I would like to know who you are a little more: where you are from, what do you watch on tv... I have very little information about people like you, I can only guess you are from the US so please tell me if you will.

  • Instead of taxing people first, we should make sure these oil companies stop pouring oil in the seas, the nuclear power plants stop contaminating the lands and the seas and allow farmers to grow real food for the people of their own lands, teach more people how to grow trees to replace the ones that are being cut and get rid of GMO crops.

  • To Slobomotion my reply is:

You are just turning things upside down. And this is the way you chose to tell us between the lines that you are braver and tougher (and wiser, and more far-sighted) than the avarage. But you err. Show us the FACTS that will comfort us vs. the facts that are highlighted as reasons for global concern regarding the environmental demage. If there is no need to be scared, define the reasons to sleep peacefully.

  • Cock 17.

  • The oceans are dying and five years is an optimistic time line.

  • @slobomotion the oceans are dying? haha! You're too easily scared. Here's something you need to know about the establishment: They like to scare people to get what they want. They more or less control both the left and the right. This like many other crisis is design to create an emotional response = fear so that they can come in a present their solution = world governance. And like they run super powers like the US they'll run this world government. They want to centralize power that's all. :-)

  • @MustacheVerra If the so called "establishment" wanted to use climate change to scare people, would they....like...talk about it instead of ignoring it?

  • @MustacheVerra I first started hearing about this at the ELAC conference (ICE) in Paris in 2010. I completely agree about attempts to scare us, distract us and get a rise out of us, however. I asked a civil engineer about the Gulf of Mexico last year, and he just muttered, "Hopeless."

  • @MustacheVerra I'm an ecologist and I agree with the original statement; the oceans are dying, and there are numerous facts I could point to that could attest to that statement.

One would be the fact that the O2 producing algae in the ocean are being vastly reduced (and we need those to live).

Coral reefs are at an all time decline and disappearing.

And fisheries, fish stocks, and wildlife in the ocean also disappearing.

Giant growing garbage patches, the plastification of the ocean.

    Its bad

  • The same powers that once colonized and enslaved whole continents are once again trying to hold the world hostage.

  • We got it, dude. You'd like OWS to be about you.

  • The whole idea of "climate change" needs to be re-fashioned to account for the reality of global chem-trailing and its decades-long effects upon the global environment. Such a proper context will also naturally introduce HAARP into the equation. Until that happens, we can be certain that the farcical nature of these environmental conferences and edicts will continue to be foremost in one's thoughts. The underlying lie continues to grow bigger and chip away at the corners of this make-believe...
