Anyone who is unsure about climate change I recommend visiting potholer54's youtube channel and watching the videos on his "Climate Change" playlist. He does a great job making his videos and backs them up with peer-reviewed science.
Of course there are other issues than just the state of the oceans and we need to be more aware of all of them.... still really simple though. A cleaner planet (air, water, land) will continue to sustain life here so just figure it out and do it!!

I'm shocked and amazed.... I'm not educated - not a scientist or ecologist or any other "-ist" but there are some basic facts that even a 10yr-old knows about our planet and they are: humans who live in garbage get sick, humans breathe out CO2, and we need food, plants, and animals on this planet to help us survive. If you think about this for just a second you will realize that we are killing our planet!! Maybe not to the extent that the politicians would have us believe (...scare tactics...)
If you'll listen to experts, they'll say: It's pretty much too late to reduce CO2 emission sufficiently. (There was an article over Ars Technica a few weeks ago that hinted in that direction.)
However, this doesn't mean all is lost yet. If you'll combine the ideas from the Googlers and the Clusterf*ckers (the followers of JHK) you'll pretty much there.
However, we'll have to fight for these changes and unlike it seems -- it's a class struggle and not a struggle against the West.
It was an interesting interview, unfortunately Pablo was stretching some facts. It would be helpful if Paul Jay mentioned them in an epilogue instead of giving the speaker a free pass. Pablo is right that the US must take the lead on this issue and in doing so shame China. Shutting down coal-fired plants and replacing with alternative plants that produce electricity at the same cost or less will not hurt us, let's just build them, create the jobs, and move forward. Only a Green President can do.

Instead of taxing people first, we should make sure these oil companies stop pouring oil in the seas, the nuclear power plants stop contaminating the lands and the seas and allow farmers to grow real food for the people of their own lands, teach more people how to grow trees to replace the ones that are being cut and get rid of GMO crops.
