Very good demonstration, I recommend adding hate potion to your macro /use Potion of Speed. Also when you are in decimation you do not have to keep up Immolate. Just corruption and soulfire on your single target dps.

Thank you for this post. My warlock is a demo spec...i have button timers and everything and for some odd reason...maybe its the rotation or else im gemming wrong or something like that. I am only pulling 3.5k to 4k at most, but in ICC im pulling 5-6k with ease. So, im kinda confused, but any suggestions since im a gnome warlock and im running the same demo spec as you are? @Stripofbeef19 I don't know your gear or how you do rotation, but gems won't make that big difference. Compare your cast timings/details/damage to this video and make sure you're using highest rank spells.

@Stripofbeef19 You have little less gear than in this video, but some gems/enchants are not optimal, and ur glyphs are wrong for pve. Look for some guides about these subjects, warlock's den is one good site for info. When these things are fixed, rest is about learning to do "rotation" properly.

@Zehneee If you mean the green text in middle, it's standard combat text that can be turned on somewhere in options.

@neyo245 I haven't leveled a lock in a long long time, and it's quite different gameplay at lower levels than at lvl80 raiding what this video mostly focuses on. Try to google some info about leveling specs and tactics, or just try yourself which works best.

@adhdkid14 I think any icc raid should have at least one demo lock, because of demonic pact buff, this way i call it the "best" spec. But with demo lock in raid, affli locks can do Little higher pDPS average on most bosses, although they lack burst dmg, which is more important on some bosses, making destro useful too.

@bradboardman Well all specs depend on gear, not sure if demo scales more but destro is at least little easier to start with. Best way is to try out every spec yourself, and learn to use simcraft to see theoretical outputs of each spec with your gear. Also different spec fits better in different situations.

i have a wierd problem: when i open interface menu (esc>interface> AddOns>ButtonTimers) and try to change addon settings, FPS instantly drops to 1! Game is lagging and i can't set anything in that window. If i only switch to other addon's setting window it's getting normal back. What can be wrong?

@chikung1000 I did make a video few months ago called "ButtonTimers and Macros for Warlock" which describes these topics, and this demo video shows something too. If you go to options->interface->>AddOns->B­uttonTimers there's plenty of options to play with, and homepage of that AddOn should have some information too. There's not one right way to do it, best is to experience with options and learn how each thing actually works.

And on another note for those who play demo locks. For fights where you can stack on the boss when you go into demo form hit immolation aura (marrowgar, death whisper, putricide "after disease", prince's "watch for shock vortex", blood queen, dream walker "suppressors", and sindy depending on guild strat its just another way to up your overall dmg output and burst DPS take into account the bosses i mentioned depedns on your strat's

There is no reason to use CoE in a raid thats what DK's are for. CoD if the target has more then a min left if the target is under a min you could hit it up with a CoA or just dont worry about it. Corruption and Immolate should always be on target I would suggest Power Auras Classic for watching MC proc and anything else you might wanna add to it very very useful addon for a demo lock.

Ok after reading the forums on this priorities should be SP>Haste>Crit>Spirit 95% of the BiS gear has no spirit on it. as well as yes in a 25 man you only need to be at 14% hit cause you should have a boomkin and Spriest in the grop and if the boomkin/spriest dies FF is still a 5min curse. No you do not let immolate fall off of the target when it is below 35% why would you drop a DoT especially a DoT that is pretty much a GCD cast? and he isnt using CoE cause he is showing his raid rotation.

@usmcdvil Crit and Spirit weights are usually very close to each other. What makes spirit better for demo is that it'll buff other casters too thru demonic pact, even if there's only 1 other caster, it can make spirit lil more valuable than crit. On caster heavy raid spirit could even be more valuable than haste, but I would still keep haste ahead. Anyway best to use exact weights(from simcraft) and not just priorities. Immolation is probably most powerful spell for demo, high dpet and T10 proc.

Wonder why he didnt give himself the curse of elements buff. I cant imagine that the nuke every minute is as good as increasing his primary damage sources by 13%. From what i see teh vast majority of the time he isnt using Any curses.

There are alot of people picking buggs at this but the big draw back for this spec is that there were around 30 soul fire spells each costing 1 shard each, even if we say it's 20 shard avg over 3/4 mins , this spec can't afford the shard rates it burns. Go destruction, it's way more stable:)
