  • Hi just wondering and on your website it has the price list and for this loco its says ready to run does ready to run come painted?

  • This looks like a easy to handle loco. Nice and simple.

  • Does anyone esle think this loco looks too small for a quarry hunslet running on 5" track? The Hunslet engines ran on narrow gauge track. This model in this size makes it look as though it was made to run on standard gauge,if it was a narrow gauge loco model it would be twice the size as it would have run on 2 foot gauge.

  • This engine is scaled from works drawings at 2" to the foot. This makes a full size track gauge of 2ft 6". Surviving locos are 2 ft gauge but they were originally made up to 3ft 6" gauge. It is this scale to make a reasonably priced and reasonably handleable model. Proportions are quite wrong for standard gauge with low boiler and wide footplate.

These are very small engines in full size, I am told you have to stand on the step on the side of the engine to fire if you are on the move!

  • There is insulation between the tank and boiler but the water is still too hot for an injector, but just about right for the feed pump though.

  • £3495-00 including VAT!!

  • Just a brilliant looking little engine .

how much is the engine including the deposit?

  • There is an axle pump to keep the boiler full when running, water from the saddle tank is too hot for an injector. It will go for as long as you can keep the fire going, several hours usually.

  • Is the engine able to run all day with out great difficulty?

Oh, and how do you get water into the boiler when in steam, apart from the hand pump, cos I didn't see an injector?

  • I wish i had that amount of money!

  • That engine was featured November issue of "live steam & outdoor railroading"

  • Thanks it's featured in the maxitrak forum under "building a garden railway"

    Take a look!

  • nice railway!
