Prisoner [Joseph Smith] brought before Court March 20, 1826. Prisoner examined: says that he .... had a certain stone which he had occasionally looked at to determine where hidden treasures in the bowels of the earth were; that he professed to tell in this manner where gold mines were a distance under ground.
And therefore the Court find[s] the Defendant guilty. Costs: Warrant, 19c. Complaint upon oath, 25½c. Seven witnesses, ." (Frazer's Magazine, February, 1873, pp. 229-30)
Mormons are the worst thinking they are better than everybody that's not in the church I know nice ones to but most of them look down on you if you smoke and other things
As a Mormon, it's interesting that you put so much energy into trying to tear down my faith. I know that all men fall short of the glory of God, and that it is only through Christ, my Lord and Savior, that I can be forgiven of my sins. I follow the commandments to the best of my abilities, but recognize my imperfections and my need for the Savior.
“But even if we or an angel from heaven (moroni) should preach to you a gospel other than what we have preached to you, curse be on him!” Galatians 1:6-9 Mormon’s are not prepared for the coming apocalypse, Huge Sorrow will be to the mormon who refuse to see the truth, You have been warned your fall will be great. Read the BIBLE ONLY!
That's a silly perception based on limited experience. And when I mean limited experience, I mean he likely hasn't experienced anything beyond the "Mormon Bubble." Members who live there stereotypically live Mormon culture more than they do Mormon religion. Obviously this isn't true of all Utah Mormons, but that's been my experience with them in general.
Not every LDS perceives themself as perfect. But the stalwart LDS endeavor to be the most perfect they can possibly be because it is their belief that if they attain that level of "perfection" they will reach the highest "kingdom" of their afterlife. Jesus Christ doesn't enter into this equation the way He should. They forget all about John 14:6 and that the ONLY way to the Father is through HIM.
You're right in that we "endeavor to be the most perfect [we] can possibly be", but we don't believe we are capable of achieving ANYTHING without Christ. We would be in a very sad state indeed if we thought we could EARN anything by our own merits. We just don't believe that we can sit on our butts because Christ has done all the work for us. He has opened the door with is atonement, but we still have to walk through it (accept Him and his council). I hope that clears things up.
Of course LDS people are not perfect. It is quite the assumption to lump every LDS person into this stereotype. If you want proof move outside of the bubbles (kaysville to bountiful and happy valley).
We dont look down on you!!! Its just sad that people are killing there bodies.

"Many mormons dont admit that they are big sinners..." Agreed. As is true with many orthodox Christians, Muslims, Jews, et. al.
Consider the very real possibility that you are ALL victims of false dogma - that you cling to a concept of a god who is imaginary.
