Not bad. Just a few tips though. More feeling, Touch responce, Sustain pedle/Real time an don't play so fast XD for a begginer that was very good though. Bravo!
@lxbrownnproudxl Hi, thanks. It took me some time to get used to the touch sensitivity on the E403. Most of the early videos uploaded were without it switched on. I'm using youtube to act as a log of playing progress, so hopefully you will see gradual improvements through the different videos. I've got a weighted keyboard now, so the piano pieces have it switched on and the keyboard tunes have it switched off.
@keithy501 It was still very good :) keep on playing man. You've probably herd this a million times but "practice makes perfect" and of course hard work. It took me a long time to learn all the notes and keys an chord progression ect but it is deffinetly a talent that will get you reconized considering the lack of musicians these days. Keep on trucking :)
Hello my friend. It is true that I only started playing / learning seriously since Jan 2008. I did have a PSS-780 before, but never made a commitment to play it. I also started music theory at the same time as we only covered the treble clef and scale of C at high school. I like to play parts of songs hence the reason why the video is so short. My channel is to show a measure of progress since Jan 2008 showing both piano and keyboard. I'll try and cover more of a song in the future
Keithy501 To many people waste their GOD givin talent You shouldn't You have the gift of music You are to talented not to do whole music PLZ don't waste it As a novice (even as someone with a few years of experience) you really are very good ! Don't let anyone ever tell you otherwise
Hi, Thanks for your comment. If you don't want to play many classical songs, not concerned about having 61 keys instead of the full 88 and not going to play many midi files then yes go the 413. If you're more serious, try to get a used DGX-620 / 630. Moonlight Sonata is one example where you need 76 keys as there are some notes outside the bottom range on the 413. You can transpose the keys to cover the range though so that the low notes can be played. The 413 is ideal as a starter model.
Good... But I want give you a tip... If you are learning play piano, and if you have a PSR E-403 (I have the same keyboard to), turn on the touch function, the sounds is more natural and real, more soft and expresive... and if you have a sustain pedal, you will hear the great diference!!!
Thanks for your comment. I'm an absolute beginner really since Jan-08, even though I had another keyboard (PSS-780), now sold, which was hardly used. At present I'm just concentrating on the finger positions and also trying to read music more or less from scratch. I've experimented with the touch setting and find that I have to really hit the key hard for a loud note which is something I'm not used to. Perhaps in the next few months I'll try this setting more and purchase a pedal as well.

That was to good to be just a bigginer
only problem I found was that
the video was way to short !
Wouldn't you rather get your fingers
on a pipe organ
like they have in a church ?

Yes, the 403 is ok for a beginner who wants a bit more than a basic model.
