  • Still play this game now. I think we got it free with our Speccy in 85'. Certainly one of the best games for the 48k. Booty and Monty Mole were classics. Bruce Lee was good but alot better on the Atari 800XL.

  • I loved this game

  • Enjoyed TLL as well. This is more accessible though.

  • 1 of my fave games for the speccy.

  • great vid too man, I rated 5/5

  • Cheers mate!

  • I play this game a lot, even just got off the DS playing it (have a spectrum emulator) I never get bored of this, even 20 years on

I still have yet to get all the men and crates!

  • A lot easier than TLL but still tricky. The map is your best friend when checking the direction of the cyclone. Just land on one of the islands if things get stormy. Great game, even now, as you say.

  • It's funny you should mention TLL, I just put it on my emulator yesterday, it took me ages to figure out how to lift off, the plane doesn't descend either for me, may be I should use the keys instead?

Yep I always use the map here for Cyclone! My trouble is I use it too much and do not keep an eye for oncoming planes lol

Any other games you recommend? Cyclone was always one of my favs, a long with ms pac man, nodes of yesod, indi temple of doom, trashman, manic miner etc

  • I always use keys in all the games. I haven't played TLL for years though. Whether to go high and risk crashing into an aircraft or go low and crash into a house. You can't win really.

I was always a big fan of 3d Isometric games but they take a lot of playing. Batman, Knight Lore, The Great Escape, Head Over Heels and Fairlight (really tough). Booty, Bruce Lee or any of the Dizzy arcade/adventure games.

  • I've downloaded Knight Lore, Great Escape, Head Over Heels, Dizzy 3 (I think) and Fairlight, I'll give them a go tonight

I Just play them all on a spectrumDS emulator so it's not bad!

  • One of my favorites too

  • Great follow-up to TLL.

  • Very very impressive for 1985. Kind of like Desert Strike for the Speccy. Excellent.

  • So different from the other speccy games at the time.

  • You REALLY DO rule!!! A belated Xmas pressie for me. Good one... Dave

  • Hey, no problem mate! Glad you enjoyed it.

  • you rule!! I have been trying to remember for years what this game was called so I could play again

  • Are you sure it wasn't Airwolf?

Great game, although my skills have diminished greatly.

  • It was definately this - I had airwolf and one of my friends at primary school lent me this, and I have been wondering for about 20 years what it was called!

  • This game is still great even after 20 years. Enjoy playing it!

  • This looks like a very nice sequel to TLL with more features and improved graphics. I used to love TLL as a kid!

  • A lot better than TLL although I like that as well. Both good for the time.
