I met Russ Taff a Tennessee Walmart, the Gaithers were doing a show in Pigeon Forge, he was just walking around, stopped and bought some tooth paste, I glanced to my side smiled, looked down, it registered, I looked back up and said excuse me, are you Russ Taff !? he said "yup" I said wow! I told him my name he shook my hand, he walked out with his daughter, and my vacation was downhill after that

I really love this song and I think that God has richly blessed the Gaither vocal band in so many ways. Brother Russ and or Gaither Vocal, I would really like a soundtrack of this song. I think the original Born Again was with Buddy Mullins, Mark Lowry, Jonathan Pierce, and Bill Gaither who made up the Gaither Vocal Bad back them. Buddy only did one album with the GVB and stayed two years.

I love both Russ and David's voice and style. Being saved, they're both filled with the Holy Spirit. Just compare David's Oh Holy Night with Pavarotti's. Pavarotti may have had a great voice but he was only singing words. When David sings there is an outpouring of the Holy Spirit that brings praise and glory to Jesus. The same is true of Russ. Why would David want to stifle that. Paul said in 1Thessalonians 5:19 "Quench not the Spirit".

This was before Russ replaced Mark with GVB. Unfortunately, they have never sounded as good since Russ left. He gave something special and unreplaceable to GVB

actually, the gvb is still very good their harmonies are out of this world maybe you should take another listen. but i agree with you, russ is great. mark, david, russ, they are hold a special place in my heart but the current gvb is very good in their own right.

It's easy to see why Russ has won 5 Grammy Awards. That man's got soul. Of course it helps when you have Guy, David, Mark, and Bill singing backup! Great harmony and soul...it doesn't get much better than that.
