Min Huifen plays erhu differently than the other erhu player's I have listened to on U-Tube. Just to let you know I have purchased my own erhu's and should revieve them this week. One erhu is an advanced instrument and the other is a beginner to intermediate instrument. I play many bowed instruments and plucked instruments-for my own personnal feelings and expression.

I am comparing this piece with the one that she played when she was in her 20s. I am not an expert in Erhu but I truly feel the sadness in her interpretation. I am so amazed and totally overwhelmed by the dimension of her skill.  Very expressive and she "really" articulates the deep sad feelings of this piece. Great performance, a true master in Erhu.....I am so ......so....amazed and impressed by her!
