it depends on the tune. i know some guys who run out here in ohio that have a stage setup and run stuff such as 5lb 1st 7lb 2nd 10lbs 3rd etc.. so he may or may not have used 1st gear...
it doesnt depend on tune. If they have 450+whp on 17lbs, then they dont have 450+ on 5lbs. So then 1st could be used. But if you launch with 450whp, you wont use 1st. what your reffering to is the boost control settings. but if you have a big enough turbo, boost increases with each gear :) i could never get more than 3lbs in 1st, unless i brake boost. 3 in 1st, 8 in 2nd, 11 in 3rd

Do it man! Just make sure that block is able to handle a lot of boost if ya go high boost, as in sleeves & low compression. Post the video if/when ya do! Those b18c5 longblock's aren't cheap!
Damn, 493 at 17 psi. How big is your turbo? Mine made 528hp 359tq at 21 psi. It should go way up with more timing, my car is fuel starved so we had to take out timing. My RC 1000cc's should be here 2morrow. She should make over 600. Next track day is the 8th. will let u know what she ran. By the way, she's a full interior 4 door.
