  • very good

  • in what tuning are you playing ?

  • dont change anything just add lyrics

  • linda melodía, falta un poquito de variedad nada más!

  • Hello

    very good sound, it's a sundance tw 45 ?

  • That guitar is absolutely gorgeous. Playing is basic yes, but anything that sounds good is worth listening to. And besides, I probably couldn;t even play that anyways haha. Good work though. Very original, very very amazing sound, that guitar is absolutely stunning. The sound of it and the way you're playing it is extremely clear and air like at the same time. Keep at it if you really enjoy doing this stuff.

  • 123

  • very nice rhythmic jive, like acoustic Brecker Brothers. Thanks, very nice.

    Richard

  • aint gonna lie, very repetitive, not very unique, I can see no similarities at all, this is not junk, but it is definitely not unique in any way, using harmonics doesn't mean your similiar. Don't take this wrong way cuz its god a decent flow, still needs mucho work gl son

  • don be butt-hurt that you didn't think of i. i can catch some similarities between them. mainly Andy... don ross a little. if his bass held more and he let his notes extend it would be even better. so 4/5 and let your notes ring out! ^^

  • you might want to work on the clarity and fullness of your harmonics. Awsome though. Keep true music alive.

  • Hmm... I've played songs from all 3 artists and this is a completely different style. As someone else said it sounds more like R&B + pop. Antoine Dufour's stuff has some new-age/folk/groove sounds, Don Ross has a lot of funk. I'm not really sure what style Andy's stuff would be in except maybe New Age.

Not to say that this wasn't a good song, cuz it was, but just not really similar to their styles. I think the greatest similartiy was in the way you timed your base notes.

  • tbh,

it does not sound anything like andy mckee or don ross.

    nothing in a day m8.

  • @NathanS1994 I'm sure he said inspired.

  • same thing

  • @NathanS1994 Not really I could right a song inspried by say fur elise and have it not really sound anything like it.

  • nice ;)

  • to be honest that bit at 0:40-1:12 would sound good in a pop/R&B song...

  • beautiful! keep jammin!

  • Awesome!

  • its a nice cound man but its way too repetitive. i've written some stuff like this before and you gotta make the second time round different than the first when you repreat verses. even just like changing a chord progression more between the A and B maybe. i dont mean any offense man those are just some ideas to bounce off you. take em or leave em lol. good luck

  • @andrewking37 ..shutup dumbass dont tell him what to do with HIS ART...did people tell picaso how to fucking paint...shut the fuck up and go play your "typical" music you fucking drone

  • great man, true inspiration

  • This song reminds me more of Antoine Dufour than Andy McKee or Don Ross. Good song though!

  • not bad

  • at 40 seconds, i love that little beat you got going on there. :D

  • Awesome basics! I really wanna know where this is leading to :] Keep up the good work mate!

  • o.o I like it the way it is. I have to subscribe now after hearing this one.

  • have anyone got the guitar tab for this tune, its really cool to l9isten to it.

  • Dude read the info he wrote for the video :]

  • dude i red the info, still say nothing about the tabs.

  • good job (:

  • wow this is amazing!!! its like andy mckee on roids lol ...great stuff please make more

  • why post that comment sheesh you could put in different words so it doesnt so so harsh like saying nice song but a bit repitive keep up the work the longer you play the more experience you get also make your own songs its better then just cover everyone else stuff

  • pretty cool

  • Amazing tune. Love it

  • right on bro keep on doin yur thing

  • cool, i wanna c what this is going to evolve into

  • Excellent

  • Great job man, this is AMAZING! keep on keepin on.

  • Nice groove!

  • Nice job man :)

I'm thinking of uploading some of mine.

    Keep up the fingerstylin'.

  • Very nice man. What's the tuning?

  • BWAHAHA sweet riff but really repetitive. BUt really cool riffs im telling you

  • i really like the tune, a little choppy at times, but overall really enjoyable

  • Nice work, I would say it has Tight Trite Night in there. I think you should get in touch with Andy McKee. See if he would meet with you for some tea and jam!

  • you should send it to candyrat records.

i think the would make something out of it!

  • really impressed, i love andy mckee, nice :) x

  • good play!!

  • very good start. perhaps you could easy up on the open b, it tends to be a little too dominating at times. nonetheless, very good work.

  • a bit repetetive but overall good job!

  • Well, that's what i thought, but when you watch some of Andy's or Don's songs, they're both extremely repetitive, they just have more mixed in before they repeat, so it doesnt seem as bad.

Send this into Candyrat...you could go places with a few more ideas and another three solid verses

  • um, no offense but he couldnt make it into candyrat records with this. And I disagree about Andy and Don's songs being repetitive. They reapt a few a times but they have many different rhythims involved. Listen to Keys to a Hovercar by Andy Mckee. Then you'll see why he is at Candyrat

  • very good...i love it

  • I really enjoy'd this, Great job man, keep on keepin on.

  • i'm digging it man.. i have like 6 or so songs in this style. check them out on my profile and share your secrets of getting views.

  • ahha classisc rreally good

though if you dont want to forget stuff you should buy guitar pro or powertab where you can write al your music down so you dont forget (Y)

  • Yeah i tried but i am absoloutley useless at tabbing stuff - i play off instinct really and when it comes to putting it down i can never get the rhythm right. I really am quite rubbish :-)

  • ahha arite but it doenst matter usually for me i know the rythem in my head so i just put the tab down so i dont forget it :)

  • I like ur discription on the right! u know sometimes I record my song also becoz I don't wanna forget them! hahaha U say out my mind.

  • i really liked it! the only recommendation: a little more "agressivity" and a "counter-theme".

  • you need more practice, well, very nice!!

  • First of all, nice song! It does sound a lot like McKee's and Don Ross' style. Also the recording quality is really nice.

Some constructive critism (all my humble opinion): I'd personally do a few less repetitions, the song becomes a bit boring after a while. Also, I'd add some more variation between high and low, like more variation in the bass notes and maybe some 'licks' on the higher part of the strings. Otherwise, great job!

  • full ack

  • Nice song, I'm sure it sounds exactly you wanted to hear it, so a bad comment would be incorrect.

  • the song misses some variations

  • The trick about playing this sorta stye is that it doesn't matter how complicated the song is, r long, r how good a guitarist u r, its about puttin everything in2 it. Play with all the passion you can muster, then play it again with some more

  • Yes I agree with Geezerkids! It is Candy Rat!

  • very candy rat... awesome.

  • Very nice! Tight...

  • bro this is great. i wish i had the know how to do this. ive been playin for a while and im kinda stuck right now. im not too good with chords. but dnt listen to the jackasses that say anything bad about this, they probably dont even have half the intelligence to write something like this let alone play it.

  • i had something that i thought was pretty good all made up and it was inspired by andy mckee and i forgot it the next day it sucked

  • Very nice. Very calm and melow! I think the art behind Andy Mckee and every other great fingerstyle guitarist out there is that they conceal every riff within variations so the song never really feels like its repeating. It's tough work to get it like that, but what you got down well is the 'feeling' of it. Nicely done!

  • great job! try to add more variation though, it seems very repetitive

  • cool song

  • In Brazil, we call this rhytim "forró"

  • Man i cant stop listening to this. Its so catchy!!

  • hey i know what you mean i gotta record what i write that day otherwise ill forget it the next. I use a little tape recorder though. Anyways pretty sweet song.

  • Thanks for the comment, this was the first time i recorded something with my web cam as i usually just recorded the audio myself. I put it on here for the hell of it to be honest, kinda wish i hadn't now with it being so basic, but not everything can be perfect.

  • That was fantastic. Great use of harmonics

  • Awesome man

  • really great man.

  • I like it a lot. Good idea recording it, whenever I come up with a new song and don't write it down and then go to sleep I usually forget it too.

  • Its very good, I would like to see the final version!

  • very nice! keep up the good work

  • No it is a tanglewood

  • dayum u can tell the inspiration came from andy and antoine! not to mention that style of don ross

  • that's amazing song. I love it really. You're a great guitar player. Thanks for this song because I listen every day when my job is finish.

    Good luck for the future.

  • If you composed it. MY GOD you are genius! Really it sound great and with a little more time it will become a great song to play to your future spouse LOL

  • Sounds great, man!

HansMeiser67346, there is melody on the "B" section that is extremely obvious if you take the cotton and PRIDE out of your ears. Regardless, this tune is mostly a jam, first of all, and the musician just wrote right before recording it. How about saying something constructive. Also, both Charlie and Andy are excellent live, and very very nice in person. If you were as good as they were, you'd probably be in a better mood. :)

  • Thanks for that! I am making progress on it, however much slower than I would like, perhaps i shouldn't have posted with such an early version but never mind. Fingers crossed i'll be able to put something a little more complete on soon.

    Ian

  • I really like the ending. Nicely done.

  • I like it.really cool

  • Awesome start man. Much respect. Keep it up!

  • I got to see don ross and andy mckee live at our local folkfest was amazing just 2 weeks ago. Keep it up and maybe I'll get a chance to see you there sometime.

  • fantastic.

  • There is more to life than don ross and andy mckee. Please check out charlie hunter and see what fingerstyle really means....Nice tune

  • Dude I am sorry to say this but this guy called charlie hunter is a regular guitar player and has nothing to do with Andy's style.

  • ?!?wHAT? Charlie Hunter not only plays a hybrid 8 string guitar, but has pioneered a style of playing where the bass doesn't drop out and you can layer melody and harmony on top. His playing is like no other. The little slap and tap type tricks that Andy Mckee and Don Ross have are nice and all, but not very musical. I'm all about the individual voice of a guitar player, but Andy Mckee is just a guitar player.

  • You're a moron, charlie hunter and Andy McKee (Don Ross) are not even in the same category. First of all Charlie hunter plays an eight string electric, with a band most of the time, and is blues style. Apples to Oranges moron

  • Nice tune. Keep up the good work.

I find DADGCE very addictive since I learned "Drac n' Friends"

  • alt tunings starts wif D is surely addictive... DADGCE,DADGBE,DADGAE,DADGAD try it

  • You seem to be on the right track. It's so much better than most of the people who have no rythm whatsoever trying to cover Don Ross etc. It's all about the feeling and playing in the pocket. You seem to have it. Can't wait to see what your playing in a couple of months. What tuning did you use?

  • The tuning for this is DADGCE

  • hey man it sounds like it could have alotta potential! Dont be be affraid to see where it takes you, its like your on the road to discovery :)

Oh and the tone is great are there any effects?

  • Hi, thanks for the comment. No there aren't any effects on this except reverb. It was going through A V-amp 2 so there is some Amp & Cab simulation but thats it.
