Listening to Elvis gospel on my ipod as I walk through the Worthington State Forest is the closest I've come to the Lord thus far. It is healing for the body, the soul, and the spirit. Elvis singing about our Lord is the closest I have come to hearing an angel. I hope he will be there when I go....singing praises to God....in such sweet sweet song....

I fell in love with this song many years ago when it was sung in a tiny Methodist church down home. It is still one of the most precious songs I've ever heard, and here, it is done by one of my all-time favorites, Elvis.  Thank you, Yellowrose49 for the posting. God bless all.

Elvis did not have a very wide range in terms of number of keys on the piano keyboard. Many of the pop songs he sang required him at times to strain to hit the higher notes. But when singing a song that was in his range, he was really good. His voice had a very pleasing resonance and vibrato that few people have.

Elvis Presley was truly gifted with a wondeful singing voice. Its just too bad that he didn't live what he sung about. I am so saddened every time I hear his music and think about Elvis's life. He wrestled with God all his life...why else would he feel compelled to sing songs to the Lord? Even many of his "secular" music had a gospel flare to it (though Im sure it wasn't all intentional).
