I've let people on that rapped good music lingo and then couldn't play at all. Very upsetting but that was back in the 80s. Now I don't let anybody up if they can't contribute. I did let a friend come up at a memorial for a fallen bro. He turned off the volume and the crowd went nuts over his 'moves'...I let a guy up who portrayed himself a blues treasure, he didn't know what key he was in or where the downbeat was. what an ass! had chuck berry in the audience, he wouldn't come up, they rioted.
lol Derek Trucks looked like he was grimacing at one point. Wasn't Derek's best solo, but it definitely more than made up for what the other guy did. Holy crap, I would've gone home and cried after that that were me playing that horribly especially right next to an up-and-coming legend.

it would give you a little bit of help. it's a one-time only move that gives you a little bit of help. you should avoid it though, cause in the end you'll be a lot better off leaving the action where it is, and instead forcing yourself to improve your touch, keeping very light touch on the strings. you'll get there eventually, just takes a while. stick with it
C'mon. Anybody here would look like crud playing slide next to Derek. That made that guys year though, maybe even his life being on the same stage and playing with the DTB. If I had that some chance I would use a hollow body guitar and stick to rythym. And if he gave me a lead, keep it simple, understated, and not use slide.

I just saw Both these guys at the snowy range music festival the other guy is Eric Sanderas And he is a bad ass player this is just pour sound reproduction. If you don't believe me check out his videos here on youtube I fhe was bad he wouldn't be on stage with derek.

I've let people on that rapped good music lingo and then couldn't play at all. Very upsetting but that was back in the 80s. Now I don't let anybody up if they can't contribute. I did let a friend come up at a memorial for a fallen bro. He turned off the volume and the crowd went nuts over his 'moves'...I let a guy up who portrayed himself a blues treasure, he didn't know what key he was in or where the downbeat was. what an ass! had chuck berry in the audience, he wouldn't come up, they rioted.

lol Derek Trucks looked like he was grimacing at one point. Wasn't Derek's best solo, but it definitely more than made up for what the other guy did. Holy crap, I would've gone home and cried after that that were me playing that horribly especially right next to an up-and-coming legend.

it would give you a little bit of help. it's a one-time only move that gives you a little bit of help. you should avoid it though, cause in the end you'll be a lot better off leaving the action where it is, and instead forcing yourself to improve your touch, keeping very light touch on the strings. you'll get there eventually, just takes a while. stick with it

use a think gauge string like 11's or twelve.. and play righ on the frets with the slide not in the middle or youll be a halfstep outta tune

C'mon. Anybody here would look like crud playing slide next to Derek. That made that guys year though, maybe even his life being on the same stage and playing with the DTB. If I had that some chance I would use a hollow body guitar and stick to rythym. And if he gave me a lead, keep it simple, understated, and not use slide.
