  • Man when i was a kid, i would half given my right arme for that train set.

  • Nice video and the locomotive is nice too a legendary BigBoy...

  • cool train makes british trains look like toys.

  • What type of cars do you use?

  • @USofMilitaryPower94 I don´t understand your question. You can see all the car types in this video.

  • @GeileSexyZeiten What I mean is, who manufacturers the freight cars?

  • @USofMilitaryPower94 The cars are manufactured by Märklin, Bachmann and Life Like, but actually you can read this information in the description of the video. ;-)

  • im getting the rivarossi big boy soon

  • The lionel version of this costs more than $1000. Is this H-O?

  • @KartKing4ever Yes, it´s HO scale. This Märklin Big Boy was about 600 to 700 €.

  • @GeileSexyZeiten Id rather build a real model of an English loco from a kit for that price

  • @burnley5960 well, that Big Boy was a gift anyway, so I didn´t have to pay it! :-)

  • How wide are your curves?

  • @GenOrder7 My curves are 18 inch. But my Big Boy can even pass through 14 inch curves without any problems (on my old small layout).

  • nice job !! keep up the good work !

  • A very nice train. Is the smoke from seuthe?

  • @02081912Frabas Yes, it is (All Märklin locos smoke with Seuthe)! Too bad I didn´t put a lil bit more smoke fluid in it, the loco steams so well!

  • Beautiful Locomotive. The chuff rate should be 4 times per revolution. I have the MTH Yellowstone and with DCS and you can select from 1 to 16 for the rate.

  • The chuff works just fine and it's a beautiful engine. Carpet RR's aren't meant to be over the top authentic anyway, just fun. Very nice.

  • thats cool!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Thanks.

No, I will not have to adjust the chuff rate, since the chuff rate in this loco cannot be adjusted. It´s not a DCC loco, and this sound is the sound that Märklin delivered the engine with in 2003. It´s not the correct sound for a Big Boy, but for me it´s ok.

  • Very nice :-)

But it looks like you're going to have to adjust your chuff rate. Its not timed with the drivers.
