The video does not explain how to unsubscribe to websites, which I have found impossible to do. I've tried all Google's suggested methods, but the sites only disappear until I go offline. Next time I go online, the sites are back in my reader.
just a few questions, what if my website is update every fortnight and the content changes all the time, will the users be able to still keep the older content details or does that change as well according to whats updated on my website?
becoz i kinda want people to keep the older news as well, sorta like an archive. How would i go about doing that? Thanks
I'd recommended checking out pulssr com as an alternative... On Pulssr, you can subscribe to topics & get news from thousands of news sources based on the topics that you've subscribed to
Google has taken the task of RSS feeds. It is a tool that allows the users to keep updated their favorite blogs and news. This tool called Google reader!! It Rocks!! \m/
they used to say you're not famous until you have a bobblehead. unfortunately, now, you're not famous until google makes a doodle of you on your 100th birthday.
If you have Google Chrome(which is my favourite browser because of its speed, minimal interface and the amount of extensions available) you should grab an extension called 'Google alerter'. This extension keeps track of how many unread Gmail, Google Reader and Google Voice items you have, all in one and displays an unread count. That way, you don't have to keep any of those sites open all the time.
I am glad that Creative Commons did this video for Google. They have one for RSS but you can't insert it into your website without a subscription. Since Google must have contracted them to do this it can be embedded on our sites. Yea!
You can get the full RSS feeds from any website on the Internet using WizardRSS. All you have to do is enter the link you want the full RSS feeds for.
I would definitely suggest taking a look at WizardRSS.
@johnblack627 it pings your feeds periodically, but the interval between pings is very small, so content arrives nearly exactly when it's posted. I keep Reader open in a tab on my browser, and it keeps me up date with every site I used to visit independently.
Google is good, eZdia is another site which helps you to keep your favorite sites, videos and many more at one place, i.e. Knowledge Bucket. You like to have your knowledge bucket at eZdia
I really liked your channel and this video. If you need any help getting this video exposed I use a site called tubeviews.(net) It has really helped like 20 of my main videos get to the top in position. Its nice.
I don't care if he is homo- as long as he doesn't try and sell his religion to me!
Google Reader is great. I use it for about twenty sites, including newspaper sites. I have it set on the one-line mode and it takes minutes to find out what is happening. If I click on a link I get the first paragraph of the article. If I want to know more, I click on the subject line and read in full. I rarely do this and every morning in a few minutes I know everything that is happening in the world. Great!
think you surely got me wrong here i was i was not looking for freaks, i was looking for someone to show me what i needed to do to read PDF files. Guess you are not that PERSON. thanks for that stupid blog!!! a-hole
It's genius how they are planning their world takeover. Have the software in place and gain insane popularity. Then create a browser. Then a mobile operating system. Soon enough they'll have their own operating system and because of its software implementation people can use Google for everything. Start at the bottom and work your way up. Pure genius.
Great observation, but there is even more. Go to Gooogle Maps. Type in your home address. When the little box opens up in the middle of the map on the right, click Street View, and there's a picture of your house! Yikes!
They do have their own OS. Not publicly, but close enough. It's a custom build of Ubuntu that they use within their buildings, I'm sure they will expand it and publicly release it.
Google has email, it's called Gmail. You get a gmail email address, and you can use it like outlook or thunderbird, to access POP email, and send from other addresses too.
Looks like a great product and I am looking for. Going to give it a try.Hey, its free so why complain?!?!?!?
