Each matrix requires its own Max7219 - so 6.
The character library I created from the Arduino examples online. I had to edit them a bit for my display. The drivers are being driven with an 18F2620 from Microchip.

There are 6 8x8 leds all hooked in a row. They are set to act as one big shift register. They are driving using code in an 18F2620, but we are working on arduino code next.

Are there six 8x8 LED matrices in all? How many MAX7219 chips were needed to drive this array?
Where did you get the character library or did
you create it yourself? Are you driving this with an SPI like Arduino or with something else? Thanks - nice work!
