  • Oh my God dude. I'm going to subscrive you right away!

  • this looks so fun

  • your china is kinda broken

  • just wondering is your left crash broken on purpose? or just broken because of playing? mine is broken because of thrashing it. awesome drumming dude.

  • @theinck

thanks man, it found it broken in some bandroom, and then played it to death until the outer part which was cut fell off. Now it doesn't sound like anything at all.

Haha great, well thats also a way...maybe i try that out if i find some old cymbal

  • Amazing job dude

  • Awesome man! Great drummer! You got skills boy! :D Keep it up!

  • Very good !

  • roennel <3 <3 <3...I love you.. =)

  • excellent snare sound man.

Have you used a lot of compressed? or gated reverb? or

    How have you done it?

  • @SinisterSkip

    thanks

i really had a lot of problems on this one with the raw snare mic sound, i used a lot of plugins but the one which really made it cool was a reverb, the Cubase Built-In RoomWorks, it worked for that. I believe the mix also was over 50% reverb, but gated. And then adjusted the Overheads EQ probably a bit.

The Mic was either a Rode NT3 or a SM57, but i believe it was the NT3, because that usually gives you bleeding problems but a somewhat special sound.

  • good drumming, just way too much compression. And I am listening this through headphones, so for speakers it's gonna sound even more compressed. Easy fix.

  • Ending = epic

  • You need a new China sir!

  • Amazing man, good work hug by Portugal

  • Digging it mayne.

    Like your timing

  • wow, i'm impressed... i'll join the others in awe of your snare, sounds great!

  • ZA4ED ^)

  • sound great!

  • I like your snare to!

How did you get that sound?

I use a birch snare with a evans genera had without muffling bud ik can't a sound like you!

please tell me how to tune like you

  • thanks:)

I've used my ELX Snare with a Genera HD Dry on Top, a Hazy 300 as Reso and Puresound Blasters Strands, with a Rode NT3 as Top Mic and a Collins OH One on the Bottom Side.

Processed with a Transient Designer, Compressor, EQ and Reverb.

The Overheads also add to the Snaresound, and the Room ofcourse:)

    and for the tuning,i don't know...pretty tight:)

  • His is a steel shell. Metal and wood shells have different characteristics so you're bound to get a different sound even if you tune it the exact same way. Also depends on how many lugs your snare has.

  • exactly (thanks for answering btw:)

it also depends on the rim type, snare strands, snare, overhead and room mics, the mic positions, the room, the microphone preamplifier, the analog/digital converter and ofcourse the postprocessing [compressor, equalizer, transient designer, reverb].

it's so much that adds to the sound, and i couldnt guarantee you that i'm able to recreate this exact sound without having the cubase project.

  • Couldn't have put it any better myself and im doing a degree in sound engineering :P

  • whats goin on man? greattt cover! what are you using for a kick drum there? that sounds smokin!

  • Your skills are amazing!!

I like your fills really, they inspire me a lot!

    MUCH respect from Hollland!

  • this guy is just gifted! he also has one of the best sounding kits on youtube.

  • I wanna learn how to play drums like you :D

  • OMG!!!

    very, very great job!

    LOL

  • Pretty nice sound... Love what the NT3 gives on your kick and snare; i'm gonna try mine on one of these someday.

Put a little hall reverb on your snare and OMG... it'll be grungling of awesomeness!

  • great! ur sick man! :)

but i guess your cymbals are damaged a little bit aren't they? =)

  • You need some new cymbals man, were gonna start a collection, get you some real, unbroken cymbals.

  • did you use mics on all of your drums or just a room mic?

  • hah obviously individual mics :) you can see them all! and the sound would be no where near as good with just one room mic ;)

    cheers
