Arular is about the best album anyone made in the fucking decade- Thom has said as much in interviews, that even his kids and whole family loved it and they'd always play it in the car. It didn't get old. Kala is in some ways as good or better, a little less consistent, but take away Paper Planes and that album is still so much more exciting than pretty much anything else that year. And she's as much of a (post)punk as an old school hip hop kid at heart- as is Thom, if you pay attention.
