Dude....let me tell you something..my 7yr old has already soloed this easy frying bird. I'm sure he can fly a hell of alot better than you can.. He soloed it after one hour..NOT one WEEK.
SO GO SMASH YOUR CRAP IN THE GROUND AND PUT THAT IN YOUR PIPE AN SMOKE IT JACK!!!!
@Sergeantsteamer I think this plane would be a great trainer for a new pilot. My Dad taught me to fly at about 10 yrs old. This plane is so easy to fly. But it has great performance. A calm day just before sunset it the best time to learn. Check out my other Radian videos. I have one showing how slow they can fly in calm winds.
That's one beautiful glider, flown really well too. The Radian has just arrived in New Zealand and guess what's on my shopping list? Nice video, nice glider.
My maiden flight with my new Radian was today here in Wichita at Chapin Flying Field. It was a bit chilly at 39 degrees and winds about 12 MPH, but everything went well. I got to soar with a few geese; I think they were impressed with my majestic new bird!
Thats cool. Its a great plane. I had a hawk chase mine when I got too close to it. I thought it was funny at first but then I realized he was trying to kill it...
i bought a radian and have had it the whole summer. I got back from a 3 month vacation and flew it four times in two days. On the third flight a realized that even with a full throttle the plane sounds like it has no power left, you know that whinning, incontinuous sound, do you know what is wrong
You may have a bent motor shaft or a bent propellor. Take the prop off and look at the shaft. Have you ever nosed it into the ground? The engine is not that expensive to replace and the prop is cheap. You may also have a bad battery. I changed to a 2200 Mah lipo and it flies forever with the bigger battery. CHeck the shaft first.
I would check the prop and shaft. It sounds like one of those. a small bend in the shaft or prop would not be noticed at low rpms but when you really hit the throttle, it vibrates cause it is off balance
I bought radian, never fly before and crash it like ten times in ten minutes then went home, no damage. Does anybody know where to find some instructions how to fly this radian and in what position to put elevator and what do you set on transmitter with those switches when they beep faster or slower, thank you
You really need to go to a Rc plane feild close to you. Most rc clubs will be more than willing to help you and even teach you to fly. Or you could buy a RC simulator. Thats how I taught myself to fly.
With around a 10 knot wind, I had mine hovering for about 25 mins on a medium slope. A little bit of trim (very little trim in fact) and it was almost flying itself!!!! I love this glider!!!! : )
I pick one from E-Bay this last week and have three batteries through it, on the second flight I had six different fliers fly it. I have been flying all types of gliders starting with reed equipment in 1965 and this maybe the best all around flier, good for light slope, great thermal and good trainer with average pilot helping.
Nice video, it very much help me to decide buy this glider. Not a first plane but great second one.
I have one of the earlier recievers in my trex600, that new setup is a good improvement, i have one of the radian`s on order for sons birthday, should be flying it in the next week or 2, Looks good,
I have a few video`s of the t-rex on my channel and soon the radian probably
Did you try fit a camera to the radian. I use a flycamone v2 on the chopper, But it would be a lot smoother on that glider, Choppers have a lot of vibration
if the light was flashing after you have flown it means the signal to the receiver was interupted usually because if a dip in receiver voltage, earlier spektrum receivers took 2 to 3 seconds to re connect, which can be too long, now they have quick connect setup in them, and the flashing orange light indicates there was a loss of connection, but they are so quick to re connect now you probably would hardly notice.
rtf comes with everything you need to fly in the box. Pnp only comes with the plane, engine and servos. You still have to buy a receiver for the plane and a radio. buy the rtf. its cheaper and alot easier.
Im still waiting to buy it. I made a vid with my gws corsair with the same engine and speed controller out of my radian. Its the same equipment as the parkzone corsair but is lighter and faster. check it out.
Ive had 5 warbirds and liked all of them..The Radian is a different kind of flying but just as fun. You just cant beat it. Its a great plane right out of the box. It goes vertical, has really good speed, and you only have to use the power half of the time.
Im getting that next....Its a great plane, so is this one. but 10 min flights with the corsair vs. 1 hr flights with the Radian. I ve never had a plane that you get tired of flying before the battery is dead.......
Would flying out of range be an issue.?

On top of that...he flew my 40%er in a figur 8 pattern last year so DON'T even try to say he'll hurt his self OR someone else.

your 7 year old will smash this thing to pieces or maybe hurt himself, or worse someone else.

@friedolayz that's not true....there are many kids younger than that who fly rc planes. Just look here on you tube

what kind of winds do you need to have it stay up on low throttle, like 5mph...20mph?
mojoboe 2 years ago
It will fly with no wind at 1/4 throttle with no problem

it only happens at full throttle at first and then slowly the incontinuous sound works its way down the throttle level

"incontinuous sound, do you know what is wrong "
When the esc device senses batery has drained to 75% of starting voltage it keeps cutting power to motor.
It is a sign to land soon and recharge battery.

Well pnp (plung n play) is for people who have a radio system already, if someone is starting off then rtf is a must.
Nice video
