There's an episode that starts with a man trying to ask for a cop for help, cop ignores him, guy falls, cop turns around and sees he's badly burned. Next scene is Detective Lennie (Jerry Orbach) and Bernard(Anthony Anderson) in a small apartment and they find 1 male body and 1 female body, both burned black. I know for a fact it was Bernard who found the bodies, not sure if it was Lennie with him.

Does anyone know what episode that is? I started watching at work, I want to finish.

I love how consistent they are with the series. For example you have McCoy who starts out an ADA, and then later goes on to become the DA. (My favorite second only to the southern guy.)

Dammit, NBC. I'd just like to state for the record (heh) the show might still be ratings-worthy if they kept the "Old Cop-Young Cop" dynamic they had, and kept Sam Waterston's character out of the DA's position, a winning combination they had FOR SEVENTEEN YEARS. When they replaced Cassidy with Lupo, and McCoy with Cutter, I thought, "This show is done for." Unfortunately, I was right.
