This makes me smile and cry and dance and laugh and shiver and makes me feel emotions that I can't describe! And I say to myself "I don't want to die in the hospital, oh no! oh no!"
You have some super powers that make awesome music!
@uptehpunxxx Hey! when you say the little lead part do you mean the glockenspiel part? That part goes: (E F# G# E F# G# E F#) x3 then (A A G# G# F# F# E E) and if you want to double it with the Harmony it goes ( G# A B G# A B G# A) x3 and then (C# C# B B A A G# G#) I'm excited to see the cover if you post it! Thanks!
This is phenominal. I've been pretty extremely impressed with your music on a whole, but this, this is a completely new level. Really fantastic production, and I love the video. Keep it up, friend, you're destined for great things.
@davidlivingston123 Hey Dave! I'm not on itunes because I like bandcamp.com a lot more. Bandcamp lets me manage everything myself, so when someone orders something from me I know where it goes and I get to write the person a specific letter to send with it and bandcamp doesn't take anything when someone downloads something(unlike itunes which likes money a lot). Oh, and it tells me immediately when someone downloads or orders an album, so every once in a while I get a small email thrill.
@davidlivingston123 but if itunes is easier for you, I actually do have some stuff I made with the bands I'm in, The Instruments Band and New Socks on itunes. Thanks a lot for the compliment!
This video was fantastic. The song was easy to relate to, and you made a difficult subject a little lighter so we could all say, "Yeah, I don't want to die in the hospital, either!"
Ah I love this, your videos keep getting better. I like the lyrics, very.. heartfelt? Yeah but also the video is very nice! I love when you play the chalk drums
Benjamin, you're such a talent my friend! Truly one of the most "real" artists I've encountered on youtube. This is a brilliant song & such a fun video. Great work!!! :)
This was beautiful. My favorite parts were all the scenes with the lit sparklers. I also don't want to die in the hospital. Lord, let me die in my sleep.:)
@officialravenzoe The story of this song is that I wrote this and recorded it a year and a half ago after a hospital visit with my grandma. I played it for a friend and he told me about the Conor Oberst song. I listened to it and was kinda sad that even though the song was a lot different the chorus was the same sentence...
@officialravenzoe ...It made me self-concious enough to not play it for a long time after that. Then I kind of decided it was stupid not to share it if I like it, and how difficult it is going to be to never accidentally repeat someone else at this point in the history of songwriting.
