16 bit sonic games turned final boss themes into an art form. All of them from Sonic 1 to Sonic and Knuckles were amazing. Sonic 3D blast for Sega did have a pretty shitty final boss theme tho although I hear the one for Saturn was much better.

and the most funniest moment of that battle is when eggman learns super sonic run haha
