  • Interesting to see he was running #56 not the 05.

  • Sensational Brock

  • Hats off .. skill and courage.

  • This car still survives and ran at this year's 2010 Phillip Island Classic. Search Youtube for "Phillip Island Classic 2010 Group A. Race 1. A Cracker"

  • Had a Toyota not lst its wheel down Conrod, who knows were Brock would have Finished, Was Runnig at Lap 50 5th Outright.

  • What was Brock's top speed up Mountain Straight and down conrod straight at Bathurst 1988?

  • What top speed and horsepower was Peter Brock's BMW M3 producing in 1988?

How much did this 1988 BMW M3 weigh and what was rev limit?

  • From memory Brock was getting 295 hp out of the 2.3 liter 4cyl BMW. On conrod straight he was pulling 250kph. Not sure about the weight and rev limit but it would of been in the vicinity of 1000kg and 9000 rpm

  • @AACForums It would be interesting to see how a DTM spec m3 would have gone. They where said to be making around 400-450hp. I don't think Ford and Holden would have had a chance. :P

  • @MaCcAM40a3 in 1991-1993 Tong Longhurst team ran the DTM BMW M3 Evo 2 2.5L engines and they matched even the GTR cars.
