  • THIS IS ACTUALLY A VERY HARD SONG, EVEN PROFESSIONAL SINGERS FLOP WHEN THEY SING THIS.

  • chyba jestem zbyt młoda ,żeby zrozumieć sens tej piosenki :)

  • I like to slow this song down and roll joints to it. :3

  • Pani Ula jest najwspanialszą wokalistką jeżeli chodzi o jazz, ale również o inne piosenki . :) polecam: "Co ona ma", "Pain to love", oraz "Just the Way You Are"

  • I was in junior high in those days!!! Good beat

Yo estaba en la secundaria en esos días!!!! Buen ritmo.

  • Hi can u please send this to my email for my MP3 if ok with u.. my email add is jacqueline78@rogers.com

  • I love this song!

In Brazil, it was the opening theme of a "telenovela" (soap opera), called "Anjo Mau" in 1976. It can be seen here in Youtube.

W Brazylii, to było otwarcie tematu "telenowela" (opera mydlana), zwany "Anjo Mau" w 1976 roku. Widać tu, w Youtube. (by Google translator)

  • which album is this??please post moreee!!!

  • @umkalzum This song is from her solo debut album "Urszula". Sadly, from what I know, it's only available as an out-of-print vinyl LP from Arista Records. Maybe it'll get a CD reissue someday. In the meantime, find yourself a turntable ;)

  • Beautiful!!!!!!!!!!! :-) Thank You :-)

  • havent heard this since the 70s really unusual....thanks for the posting

  • i like this song but i have a question do you remember " Firefly" this is the name of the song but i would like to know the group's name or singer from 1975,6,thanks and egards from Tijuana Mex Oscar

  • I have a few of Urszula's (and Michael Urbaniak) LP's from the 1970's, good stuff. I never realized the similarity to Flora Purim's style until just now when this song popped up on a Flora Purim page. I was astonished at the high number of views for this page, but then seeing the comments I understand!

  • Urszula Dudziak is Polish jazz vocalist, she isnt singing in any language;] Its just some random sounds;]

  • @slay15 it's called "wordless vocalizing". Many singers specialize in this form of vocal expression ;)

  • and besides, what's wrong about a little revival plus dance?

he didn't seem to say that the song was his own.

    ---

  • SCHemeboi

your choice of words is over the line. it doesn't mean that if you have just read our history, you know it already. well come over to the philippines to understand more. and besides, our nation in the first place wasn't really a nation. it was just some collection of "baranggays" (well seem you know it all, no need to elaborate), so it was easy to conquer because there wasn't any unity.

    bottomline is, we're still happy.

    :)

  • Edu is make the moves not counterfeiting the song ask to the authorities about it.

  • Ulka i Misiek dali czadu

  • thank you... made my search easier....

  • this song is known again because of the tv show from the philippines..its not the song that is known by the way..its the moves..nobody even barely understand it..wahahhaah

  • because you guys are ignorantes... thats right you filipinos are easy to be manipulated.. the same way the spaniards did thought of you since... thats why until now you guys are still a 3rd world country... you thought know things but not your just like to pretend you know... "colonial mentality" its a weakness..

  • "you thought know things but not your just like to pretend you know."

    you seem like the ignorante.

brush up on your grammar before insult others, asshole.

  • duhh?? who give a damn about my grammar...

    at least im not pretending...

unlike some people who think they popularized the song by making some silly dance step shit out of it...

    they think their great?

    duhh??

i think great assholes i say...

you guys ripped it off... hahahaha ^ ^

  • they didnt think they're great you stupid penis balls. they were just having fun and one more thing... stop pretending that you know everything about filipinos because you talk like shit.

  • glad are ancestors fought againts spanish invaders..we're proud of them for kicking butt on spaniards.."colonial mentality"??look whos talking..and atleast were brave enough to defend what is ours..

  • One more criteria I'm looking for regarding our south American maid, please make sure she speaks ENGLISH.... comprende amigo? We don't pay in bananas but in dollars.

  • sold?? really?? we were thinking that "selling things u don't own means stealing?" oh-oh..u stole many land u don't own..invaded many countries but what u got now?? NOTHING!! HAHAHAHAH..U ARE ALL LOSER

  • shut up!

  • That would explain why a bearded Phillipe man was singing this song.. lol!

  • That was probably Edu Manzano.

    Yeah, *filipino here*

Sometimes Filipinos ARE imitative, but not all the time. We also have originaloty in other things. T_T

  • This is Polish song!

  • exito mundial de los 70's

  • Musically and rhythmically, Papaya has Brazilian influence

  • papaya is polish-idioto!

  • Ok let's end this nonsense. Polish invented the song, Filipinos made it famous by introducing a dance. Happy?

  • hehehe .. :) yjays right

  • which is better, this or chacarron macarron?

  • They just used the song for a dance move, and i'm hearing this stuff for years. And one TV host in the philippines added a dance move.

  • filipinos are not ignorants!

fyi we didn't popularized the song..

    but the dance itself!

it's the dance that filipinos popularized not the song..and we never said that it originated from the Philippines..

  • Apple in polish jabłko and papaya is papaja but it sounds the same

  • in my country philippines, apple is called mansanas. if an apple is extremely small, it is called mansanitas....get it?

  • hahahahha segi nalang..got it..fan ako ng mansanitas

  • :) it is originaly title:) i'm from polen and here 'papaya' it's name of fruit too:P

  • is papaya the original title?or the title was just formulated here in the Philippines?papaya is a fruit here.

  • papaya is the title.. even here in canada papaya also is a fruit

  • papaya is a fruit in the philippines, at the same time, a vegetable too...

  • After 30 Years, This Song Rise Again...

Eventhough Its Not Made In The Philippines, Filipinos Popularized It Again!!!

    Good Job Poland and Philippines...
