it is good to see that people take advantage of the free stuff that can be put to use.....love your idea of cooking as much as you can on your outdoor stove. i wonder how much you save in energy cost by using this method! five stars~!!!
Lol, i actually go out and buy myself a cast iron wok today, and i am impressed, work great on my rocket stove.. thanks to you janet, i never know cast iron cooking ware would help produce better tasting food.
congratulation, I might put up a video of my 6 year old rocket stove, we use it everyday to boil drinking water and everyday cook. except for morning coffee, mine is made with stainless steel though, 1 thing for sure it last ! cost me about $60 though. having it tailor made with shops.
i made one of these out of a coffee can i cook on it alot i made pork lo mein the other day .all on just a few pieces of wood!
Im making another one out of a n old freon tank now, to take on camping trips or just to save on the electric bill....i got ,the idea from stock storage rocket stove I seen on you tube i happen to weld a little and am almost done with it.
If you ever get to the middle TN area, I will grill you up a plate of some of my fat, juicy homegrown chicken thighs, and you will think you have died and gone to heaven!!
You get rocket stoves from me, of course, I make em out of recycled and new metals, and I sell em for 30 dollars + shipping.
I cook on one because its free, I just have to pick up the sticks and tree limbs out in my yard. If the power goes out, I can still cook just about anything I want to. My house doesnt get hot from cooking in the summer time, and best of all, ITS FUN!!!

Hi Brandon, I guess it is really strange!

Your vids are great, Janet!
How come you have the RocketStove all the way on the side of the house??
tastygarlic 3 years ago
Hi TastyGarlic, thank you very much.
I put my rocketstove on an old metal table that I didnt have to worry about being damaged, and put it right outside my kitchen door.
I love cooking on it cause its fun, kinda like camping, and my food always turns out delicious.

Yummy!

thanks for the comment, it was yummy! It was about 20 degrees outside, but that grill pan was about 700 degrees, and cooked in about 7 minutes.
And yes, I washed my glove before handling the salmon when I put it on the grill.
