the macbook pro usually is better for students as it gives you access to older software with the physical dvd drive and it has better storage(though it's not in the form of the more efficient ssdd) but if you can look beyond these two factors the mba would make a great choice! I have both in my home and have used both for school so that's really where i'm basing this information off of :)

@ConradOfficial i have a MBA 13" and i use it every day, for school and a i play on it. It meets my expectation. If you heard about the fan noise, do not worry, fan noise gets loud ONLY when playing, and it does not bother me. It runs like a porsche.

@hqdw817 For me the Pro is better because it delivers better gaming, and projects(etc...) but the air is just good for serfing the web with no games its so fast! But the pro, even if you download a game it still delivers great spped, as I said Air is not as good as Pro, People want to get it because its slim and the design is amazing, but in my opinion the pro has better hardware!
