  • you are the gayest terd i know gothichearts05

  • I wanna touch Wonka's nuts ^_^

  • we had a test in school many years ago we had to read little text about this movie and answer questions i knew all answers because i just watched this movie before that test

  • fuck the haters. this version is awesome! its filled with wonder and a brings a bit of a dark mysterious quality that is just so delicious in any Tim Burton film.

  • i like sung pure imagination

  • This movie sucks ass, I don't care. First of, why does he fucking look like a pedophile and why is it in every scene, there is ominous movie playing? The only thing I like in this movie that Charlie is not American because in the book, he is not indeed, American. However, I perfer the first one because Gene Wilder is golden and I feel like it embodies the story of Charlie more. Plus, it is not creepy as fuck and is wonderfully strange in a GOOD WAY!

  • Wow Tim Burton is a god ! i hope he never dies or movies will die with him...

  • the book is great, but the old movie was HORRIBLE ! they changed lots of things in the old movie ,thank god the new one is great

  • Is Tim Burton a genius or what?

  • this movie is so fu*ked up, I had 12 years when I first saw this movie and I felt like drunk. This is not a Family movie definitely, it's more like Children horror! I totally hate it!

  • Ngl, I used to have a huge crush on Freddie Highmore.

  • lol I remember seeing this movie when I was like 6 years old. I thought that willie wonka was some maniac and he was actually killing the kids one by one. I thought this pretty damn scary!

  • @Jock21000 I was as old as you when i saw this movie. Are you SURE that you thought he was a pedo? I was thinking he was some kind of clown, not a Chocolatier. Just asking, cause lots of Tweens/Teens make fun and make fake stories about their past viewed movies.

  • This version is completley americanised.

  • @Becca16luvsRhydian And the original isn't? In the original, Charlie and has grandpa are played by Americans. Here, they're not.

    The original is American crap.

  • @Becca16luvsRhydian i know, but so much more accurate to the book :)

  • DONT TOUCH THAT SQUIRELL'S NUTS

  • That is clearly 1oz of Ag at 0:20.

  • Grandpa Joe: He's Willy Wanker

  • oww lekaahhhh..

  • "Everything is eatable, even I'm eatable! But that is called "cannibalism," my dear children, and is in fact frowned upon in most societies." ♥

  • Ifwho is the charecter youre most like? i`m like mike t.v. the most

  • i love violet beauregarde i like gum i chuwing too on gum 3 monhts i hope...

  • were is part 5

  • The acting especially from the kids is so artificial and fake. Yet another remake fail.

  • To those who think this is better than the original and how the original "isn't true to dahl's story" you're all fucking idiots. Dahl himself wrote the screenplay for the original film!

  • johhny depp is so much better then Gene

  • originals better >.>

  • ?:DIE DIE DIE DIE

    willy wonka: uhm okay haha.......

  • Let's boogie!!

  • 0:35

  • "die,die,die!!!"

    "okay"

    hahahahahahahahhahahah XD

  • I seriously rofl'ed whenever he walked right onto the door and the glass elevator !

An old joke, indeed. Nevertheless epic !

  • good movie i like joneey deep

  • Don't touch that squirrel's nuts!

  • Stupid.

  • I LOFF YOUR CHOCOLATS! :D

  • i love johnny depp, but this is is the creepiest movie i've ever seen. i'm surprised it didn't give me nightmares. keeping in mind that one of my all time favorite movies is alien, which i loved as a child.

  • ppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppp

  • mnbvhjkjnb

  • REALY NICE MOVIE!!!!

  • Johnny Depp 4EVER!!!!!!

  • I really like this movie!!)))

  • johny dep played so much roles i cant even think which one is his real personality

its like every character he plays is real

jack sparrow and Edward scissor hands are so different but they were played by the same person

  • I <3 Johnny sooo much

  • Normally I hate when they remake classics...they always screw it up...

But this was just awesome XD

The original was genuine and classic This one was pure, unadulterated, awesomeness =P

  • 32 pple r stupid! i loove johhny! hes so awesome<3

  • i love johnny depp

  • dont touch the squirrels nuts lol that made my day

  • I love this movie

  • "candy doesn't have to have a point"

yeah it does to taste nice

  • can You people at Hollywood do anything right. stop trying to remake a movie and start Make movies where the fist one left off at. It should be where Charlie is older and hes going to pass the Chocolate factory to someone Else OR Make it where the last one was left off at.

  • @jccred7

they are based off a book and i only like this movie because i love it when violet turns into a blueberry

  • oopa lompa dooby do.. i have another song for you.. oopa lompa

  • gene wilder was a better willy than johnny. thing is, itsounds completley WRONG when he says "dont touch his nuts!"

  • Johny looks Hot, funny and cool in this movie.

  • This movie actually scared me,with all the strangeness and children XD;

It's like being in a strange dream.

    A very candy-filled,strange dream.

  • "I don't know, I hate chocolate".

"Well it's a good thing your going to a chocolate factory you ungrateful little ba****d".

    Best quote. lol.

  • Candy doesn't have to have a point. thats why its candy.

  • Am I the only one who noticed that Wonka and Violet have the same hairstyle?

  • so whats that one movie where johny depp isnt just all up there in the head? lol!!!

  • btw Jonny depp treated that little girl in 0:37. lol he was like I don't care

  • jonny Depp creeped me out in this movie...he creeps me out period

  • Man this version sucked fucking ass. What the hell was Tim Burton and Johnny thinking? There was no magic or charm or anything of the original film. It was just a bad....technological advanced bullshit themepark. Johnny was terrible in this, absolute terrible. Gene Wilder's Wonka was charming, mysterious and one for all the ages.

  • @FaithIsAnnoyed

you're so right I hate how Jonny played Wonka Gene WIlder's character was the best nop one tops him

  • @FaithIsAnnoyed I can agree with the magic thing, but burton made it dark and fantastic just like the book is! And johnny depp nailed it and yes wilder and depp took the role totally different but they probably have different opinions on how Willy Wonka is ;D

  • It's stupid to wright "Johnny Depp's 2005 movie" It's not Depp who made it smartiepants

  • i have oringanle but i dont have 2nd lol

  • this movie sucked the 1971 movie was better

  • @thepyscogamers i agree

  • Here's what's weird... if you read the book, Johnny Depp nails the character. Gene Wilder is remembered more fondly as Willy Wonka because he got his own musical numbers and because he played the role with a sort of random whimsy. Wilder was AWESOME. But Depp was good, too... it was just more of a close-to-the-vest portrayal of the mysterious, goofy character Roald Dahl wrote.

  • @RLSDad727 i thought willy wonka was old in the book

  • im in a charlie and the chocolate factory play im Violet's mom i cant belive my dauther in the play is a blueberry sobs and crys

  • For your information, little girl, whipped cream isn't whipped cream at all unless it's been whipped with whips. Everybody knows that..

    love that line

  • I'm an Oompa Loompa and a squirrel in my school's production of this, I'm so excited for it!

  • I don't know about you, but I thought Johnny Depp was great in this movie...

  • @claire1909 it's the only reason i watched it

  • "I johnny depp, will allow 5 people to kiss me!" :D

  • @LindseyLove299 we wish

  • @vivis1995 lol ^^

  • awesome

  • ......bellissimo!

  • Dude...you're fucking STUPID. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is not only the name of the book, but ALSO closest to the fucking book itself. Songs and all. Now, when it comes to the Wonka man himself, Gene provides that touch that can hardly be beat, but Johnny does pretty damn good. The creator of the book himself even said Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory was horrible. He absolutely hated it.

  • @jubbles23 I agree the original was not anywhere near the book. This one is WAY closer. The squirrels were in the book, golden eggs, not so much. In fact, the SONGS were written by Roald Dahl Himself.

  • @jubbles23 Funny how the Creator of the book himself didn't care for the 1971 film but he approved and agree to have the film done and Fans loved it and it has become a classic..

As for me I liked the Original film better. I did care for or like the new film and I felt Gene Wilder did a better job as Willy Wonka then Johnny Depp.

  • @Astraldragon1 I 100 percent agree with you!! Johnny Depp sucked as willy wonka. That was not acting. Very amateur acting on johnny depps part. Jim Carrey would have been the perfect willy wonka. Tim Burton also sucked. His direction and cinematography is always the same.

  • @eajinabi there's something wrong in your head...johnny depp= best actor in the world, tim burton= best director of the world. Jim Carrey? plz, he would have made it an comedy, its not an comedy...

  • @HenTodolo You are a 15 year old goth girl? If you are I understand your liking of Tim Burton. LOL!! Johnny Depp butchered the role. Very similar to a stroke patient

  • @eajinabi I'm a guy you idiot... and no I don't like tim burton or johnny depp personally but I am a fan of them. There is definitely something wrong in your head

  • @jubbles23 Roald Dahl, the author, died in 1990, so if you mean this movie...... you guessed it!

  • @jubbles23 Oh shut up. Does it really matter which one follows the book more? NO!!! One of the reasons for me at least why the original was better is because if it doesn't follow the book line by line then they put much more creativity into it! Gene's Willy Wonka was spectacular, Jonny's just sucks. Reason for that? He doesn't act anything like Willy Wonka! And besides, it's obvious that the author of the book itself would hate a movie that doesn't follow his book exactly!

  • @jubbles23 Couldn't agree more. I have read the book and if you go by comparison 2005 movie was closer to the actual book. Does it make it a better movie? That is a question people have to ask themselves. I grew up with the Gene Wilder version so for me personally I like it a bit more. However I did not find the 2005 version to be a bad movie at all and I think it is safe to say that Roald Dahl the writer of the story would have liked 2005 version very much.

  • @TheAmericanShawnee alice in wonderland is incredible, this isn't as good, because of the oompa loompas

  • Are remakes even necessary? People wanted to repeat the same forumla before because people forgot about the original movie. With home video available people could just see the classic original instead of the pale imatation. As for this movie, I have mixed feelings. So please don't flame this comment, making it out to look like I hate your precious Tim Burton movie. It was merely ok.

  • @G3or631 It didn't ruin anything, it's merely a remake. The originals are always the classics anyway, but it's true that people are always out to create their own rendition. If you don't like it, you really shouldn't bash it. Just enjoy the original in its glory. :)

  • i like this movie, i hope alice in wonderland will be a movie like this :)

  • this willy wonka reminds me of michael jackson...uggh

  • As if Willy Wonka wasn't creepy and pediphilic enough when Gene Wilder played him. X)

  • them wonka bars sell quick boii like nobody's business shett men

  • That lil poor boy looks like a shabby ragdoll

  • When I first seen Willy Wonka I didn't know about Who at all ...I found out about him sometime in the beginning of 2009 which was a funny surprise(lol) But even when I didn't knew he was real I loved him right away.

  • "You're really weird."

Oh, I just love his smile when he says that..! x')

  • I know. Its so hilarious

  • much better then the original.

  • This is my most favorite movie, i watch it every month. lol im wired

  • Does anyone know what the music starting at 1:22 is?

  • The concept of this story is the same as "Edward Scissorhands" storyline 20 years ago......(in my opinion)

  • The difference being Edward was this immensely sad character..poor guy. He was so lonely.

Willy Wonka just comes off as an antisocial psycho with daddy issues. XD

AHHHh. *flails* and I'm not saying all that to be demeaning! I love both Edward and Willy. It's just...there is a difference between the two.

    <333333

ps Tim Burton is a genius =D

  • i love both movies a lot! i do love johnny depp, gene wilder, and tim burton, so both rock da house!

  • I didn't like this one :( I think the first one was better

  • whats the name of the kid actor in this movie?

  • Freddie highmore plays charlie!

  • I was auditioned for this movie in 2002 They said I was too young but would of been first choice if I was slightly older :( I did meet johnny depp though :(

  • Wieny Wanker

  • Oh... Johnny Depp is so amazing...

    It reminds me souvenirs =)

    That's a crazy movie... I love it (L)

    RIP Gene Wilder =)

  • gene wilder isn't dead

  • I did'nt know that XD

    Ok, I correct myself ^^

  • You're really wierd ROFL

  • a big piece of shit, especially the fact Freddie highmoore plays Charlie, and that Wonka is like Michael Jackson ¬_¬

The original film was so much better it's sad...

  • you must ALL accept it

Johny Depp looks gay with that haircut

  • lolz yep u right tht haircut stupid xD but i love him hahah

  • @Notyouisme NO JOHNNY DUZ NOT LOOK GAY WITH THE HAIRCUT, U LOOK GAY AND I DONT EVEN KNOW U BUT IDC! >:(

  • its not gay its just too weird

  • omg I love this movie!!!

  • that does not look like johnny depp!

    freddie highmore was soo cute

  • whell it is so deal with it ..

  • i didnt mean it in a bad way, i was just saying i didnt recognise johnny depp theres no need to be rude to me and if i were you i would learn how to spell before you say anything more to me

  • I think this one was a better movie HOWEVER I think Gene Wilder was a better Willy Wonka than JD

  • johnny depp makes this movie =D

in english class we were talking about edgar allan poe and my teacher said he made all those wierd things...like johnny depp and ALL the girls in the classroom (including me) were like *gasp* *talking in a dreamy voice* "i love johnny depp" xD

  • this is TRIPPY !!

  • "dont touch that squirrels nuts!"

    XD

  • This is good movie, but I like the original more.

  • This movie is just so epic!!!!!!!!!!!!:)<3

  • I enjoyed this version MUCH better.

  • I dip my willy wonka in chocolate!

    and its YUMMY!!!!!

  • LOL

  • To me, this was a way better movie and I loved the Tim Burton did this.

If I had any problem at all, it was some of the singing skits. Danny Elfman normally can make awesome music but it was too weird for my ears.

The original movie had better singing. Nobody can argue against that.

    om--paa loom--pa dum--ba--dee---doo

  • Why do people compare Willy Wonka in this movie to Micheal Jackson?

There's a big difference between MJ and Wonka.

    Willy Wonka hates children.

Michael Jackson loved children........ do I really need to elaborate?

  • Willy Wonka did NOT hate children. Why would he give his factory to a child if he hated them??? This 2005 movie just sucks and messes up the story.

Johnny Depp in this movie looks nothing like MJ and is like nothing like MJ.

MJ is amazing <3 and is so kind and so sweet and so loving and compassionate. :)

  • Fuck the original. I know most people are gonna say "oh it's a classic!" ... I don't really care. Gene wilder was a creep in that movie and freaked me out.

This version was closet to the book and what Roald Dahl would have wanted. Johnny was excellent as Wonka and brought the character alive! :) oh and he ain't like Michael Jackson anyone says that again and I will knock your teeth in. Disrespectful wankers!

  • I agree!

  • how was gene wilder a creep??

    and MJ IS THE BEST <3 <3 <3 <3

  • i really wanna see this movie

  • it was in cinemas in like 2005 its on dvd

  • Omg, Johnnys voice sounds so high in this movie! I LOVE JOHNNY! <3

  • This film is AMAZING<3 I could watch it over & over again.

  • I do prefer Tim Burton's version alot more but the only thing is I, now dont get me wrong I think Johnny Depp is a fantastic actor but I personally prefer Gene Wilder as Willy Wonka.

  • i agree

  • I love this film. I made a video of the factory in 3D. It's on my channel!

  • BRADON

  • its a very very good film

  • O_O I love hes chocolate

  • lol mike teavee "die die die" :D

  • i knew i couldnt have been the only one that noticed---total micheal jackson!

  • Johnny Depp is BRILLIANT. <3

  • I think the movie would have been better if they hadn't made Johnny Depp look so much like Michael Jackson. It was really distracting. :P

  • Yeah!> He does look like Michael Jackson, is it Johnny Depp really?

  • does anyone else think he looks like michael jackson?

  • I mean, I love Mr. Depp and Freddie and all, but the only good part about this movie is the Candy Room's colors. I love they way they did that.

  • Willy's high-pitched voice in the beginning creeped ME out, but overall, this was a great performance by Depp - full of impersonations of famous people like Jerry Lewis and Carol Channing (he said a while back he was doing Carol Channing when they asked him about MJ - he was referring to this performance; he's not really going to do a movie about Carol Channing). And impersonates game show hosts.

  • Nice!

  • Aww, this movie was so fun and great :-)

The feeling I got from Depp's Wonka was that even though he was soft-spoken and eccentric, he was also kind of sadistic. I mean I can't help but think that he deliberately picked those rooms because he'd already done his homework on the children and knew their weaknesses. Like when he allows Mike Teevee to pick a room, he knows exactly which one he'll choose, hence that wicked smile. Johnny Depp did a fantastic job, loved every bit of his portrayal.

  • I found this to be an intriguing portrayal. Soft-spoken, eccentric, yes. But in some ways socially inept - and also, basically a big kid.

  • I totally agree, and it seemed more like instead of 'accidents' he was playing some cruel pranks on those rotten kids.

  • P.S. I wanted to add socially dysfunctional along with socially inept.

  • but then again, and again, lol, Dahl wrote one version very like the book, only to have it turned down by the director because he wanted it to be as far away from the book as possible. So Dahl, much to his dismay, had to write a second

  • but its more like what roald dahl would have wanted and its exactly the same as the book

  • I think Johnny is hilarious in this film XD

Sweeny Todd is his best though.

  • worst of johny depps movies..in my opinion of course

  • i disagree.. he's done a grand job..
