As to the CRT "out of the case" the set was taken apart beforehand. I saw the back of the cabinet tossed in, along with the wall unit. Would have been safer to toss the set intact, than leaving a potentially implosive CRT laying on the sidewalk. I have a JVC 32" TV weights about 105# The glass used in CRT is thick plus many CRT's have lead lined glass, to keep dangerous X-rays inside the envelope adding to the overall weight of the CRT.
Our side-load driver let me ride along on the step and run the packer when I was about 10-yrs old, I though that was pretty young but I guess you got me beat big time...;)
@DisposalAlternatives Im living in a local area where its kind of a nabourhood but with no cars driving so often. So i even met them about 1km away and than i either were on the passengerside all the way, or i run after it while getting the bins. it became more of that after age of 6-7years old. so you might say i started young =D later on, i knew routes and witch number of the trucks when to the difrent routes.
Amazing Waste of time; the driver should have pulled over to the side with the most trash First. On a average route a 5-6 SECOND waste of time per house will Translate into an Extra TWO HOURS of Route Time.
Nice video! I always enjoy seeing crunchy stuff getting eaten. (I hope that gets sorted later... that was a lot of wood.) Around here they wouldn't have taken that TV -- nothing over 50 pounds, if I remember right.

The way those trucks fold that pile of trash up is awesome!

They wouldn't even look at most of that here. Most of what was tossed would be recycled not trashed. Very wasteful

It looked pretty old. Very thick glass on the oldies. Could have some hidden weight.
