  • This motion play would only work if the D were in playing zone. If they were playing 'Man-on-Man' the aim would be to screen AWAY from the person you just passed the ball to. By screening away, you take your D away aswell and leave the guy with the ball with the option of driving in 1on1. By screening towards your pass all you do is allow the D to double up on your man or you give them an easy switch, meaning the guy with the ball is always gonna be marked. So pretty useless in my opinion.

  • This guy is totally wrong when you make a pass you should either go pick away on the wing or the person you passed the ball to.

  • this videos (and the videos with richie green) are really helpful

  • yennoe when ur picking i dont get it like i knoe u people r gonna call me a idiot but yeh im a low post right and im starting line and i dont know what the fuck im doin smetimes soo when i set a screen im just wondering can you get out of a screen randomly or what like do you do just wait till the opponent bumps into you then get out of screening??..im just really confused soo PLEASE HELP ME MY GAME IS ON WEDNESDAY AND FRIDAY!!!!!

  • make sure you call your teammates name, try setting the screen low and wide, cross your arms to protect yourelf. When the defender hits you hold the screen for two seconds then roll or pop into space.

You can pull out of a screen if your defender jumps to the cutter. This is called a slip and you literally slip towords the basket.

I teach my post players to post for a count of 2 and if they're not open, go set a screen. remember screening helps to get you open so do it often.

  • Marshwood Basketball is the best!!!!!

  • ok if your going to make a video about youth basketball make sure you use youth basketball players that is ages 6-12

  • @BulldogManiaOfficial but at least they are teaching the motion

  • what if i accidentally drop the ball when i receive the pass and i bounce again,is it counted as a double? anyone enlighten me????

  • Shouldn't be. Of course, you probably should be working on your catches if you have the tendency to dropping catches. Meet the ball when the ball is passed to you, that is go to the pass. Don't wait for the ball to come to you.

  • no its not considered a double dribble
