UFC put on some of the most boring fights, im not gonna pay 40-60 dollars to watch a bunch of no skill brawls...I hate to see fights that are about aggression and ego. I like fights that are about skills and technique - and that !, only Japan and their MMA organization can deliver...i still keep up with the UFC though...American cars, motorcycles, and mma just suck !!!

He had a weight disadvantage but still kicked ass

Joachim came to train with us at our club this summer. He really is a nice and classy guy. It was just as much fun talking to him about life as it was rolling with him. Now that I think about it, it was way more fun, because I got crushed when we rolled......:P

Awesome fight. I'd love to see a few of these lghtwheights try to make a run at it in the UFC. UFC i actually pretty awesome at the moment (this coming from an old pride fan). But they LW-division really isn't that good. To be honest, I think the only really good fighter is BJ penn. But I hope GSP crushes him in their second fight.

Hansen has a hell of a chin. He went down, but was back up in a jiffy. I wonder if he's related to Big Nog. His submission skills have improved big time as well. I knew he would give Aoki a run for his money, but I was blown away when he hung in his guard then tko'd him.
you have to take into consideration shinya just had a grueling fight with caol uno that went the full fifteen minutes where ass hansen subbed a much weaker opponent in like 2 mins.

I always said Gomi was overrated and I stand by it today. Penn finished him(which is nothing to be ashamed of)He's 1-1 against Arelio who has been victim to a number of UFC LW wrestlers, which are the same guys who would cause a lot of problems for Gomi as well. Aoki is a 1 trick pony, he's just very good at his 1 trick. Alverez on the other hand is rounded, he wouldn't run through the division, but he's got a lot of time to improve.

it's a hard one to judge though eddie dropped hansen with three punches and eddie took hanson down at will.
hansen had many close submission attempets won over exchanging punches by will but eddie defended all the submissions and took hanson at will.

I know Hansen has fought in the states, but have you noticed how some guys(Gomi,Vanndy, Shogun, ect.) aren't the same fighters on U.S. soil ?

Hansen is one of a very few fighters who's actually beaten Penn if I am not mistaken.
Penn is great though, I always admired him, but Penn is probably not the type to use as an example of a fighter who's steamroll Hansen.
