They made new ads... The video pauses, and all out of sudden the entire video page is gone, and the screen is then covered with ads. In the top right corner stands: "Skip this ad", if you click that it's gone. Youtube is getting worse by the minute.

So you have to be very careful on how its done. The general attitude in advertisement is to annoy the hell out of people and shove their ads down their throats. No body likes that and people like me won't put up with it. So just be respectful of what your audience will put up with. So far you do a good job of it.
I kinda have to agree that it is not such a bad thing to have a little advertising on what is essentially free entertainment. Although at the same time I am full aware as to what the internet has become since the 90's due to the ease of advertising itself. So, I say, for some things like say good youtube content it's okay if it's discrete. From what I'm reading on the YouTube help pages, you don't get video from embedding a partner video, the partner does. You have to have a video of your own with thousands of hits can be a partner. So you're misleading people by telling them they will make money off of your Google ads.

But on the other hand, advertisement has killed what the internet used to be about and it is an ongoing fight to keep the internet fun and free (aside from your ISP costs lol). So you have to be very careful on how its done. The general attitude in advertisement is to annoy the hell out of people and shove their ads down their throats. No body likes that and people like me won't put up with it. So just be respectful of what your audience will put up with. So far you do a good job of it.

I kinda have to agree that it is not such a bad thing to have a little advertising on what is essentially free entertainment. Although at the same time I am full aware as to what the internet has become since the 90's due to the ease of advertising itself. So, I say, for some things like say good youtube content it's okay if it's discrete. I mean, I'd like to see some of these guys getting paid for all the hours of entertainment they provide me for free.

From what I'm reading on the YouTube help pages, you don't get video from embedding a partner video, the partner does. You have to have a video of your own with thousands of hits can be a partner. So you're misleading people by telling them they will make money off of your Google ads.
