This is what they do. I had some to my door awhile back and really all they do is, hand out there book, talk about there beliefs, give no answers and insults you if you used to be part of another faith. This is all I've ever heard from them, so don't feel bad if you get nothing away from this.
Have you asked them about their beliefs in things that baffle science? Experience in that area a few years ago brought one mish to offer dowsers as evidence for proof beyond science. Their absolute belief in Adam and Eve was also a fun topic in connection for their claim that evolution isn't a problem. Have you felt like you've banged your head against a wall after some discussions? Just curious: are these lady or gents mishes?
So lets say a couple of guys that were told about an internet that is tied within the universe itself and for the information to be on it it must be true so all information on it is true, but they only know the basics of how to connect to it and look for some information and want you to connect as well, for the answers you seek are on it. Do you look to see if it exists and attempt to connect or say the whole situation is nuts and walk away?
It's so easy to spell Moronism, you just spell out Mormonism and drop the 'm'. The two words pretty well mean the same thing. That 'm' stuck in there doesn't change the meaning whatsoever.
I just got a group of Mormon missionaries to do a presentation for the religious studies department at my college.
They were all nice guys who were happy to answer any questions we could throw at them.
However, the main theme was that they treat every debate or disagreement as a opportunity to do a sales pitch. It seemed like they had gotten so good at pitching their religion door to door that I wasn't getting theological responses but like, a "buy now Only 19.99 plus shipping" response.
Check out the banned Mormon cartoon, if you haven't already. Its brilliant, and Mormonism comes across as a lot of fun and very imaginative. Not to mention, it has a very interesting account for races, and particularly the origins of the negro race.
