Although, mind you, I am a fan of shooters, although I don't play them too, too often. This is especially considering I don't get much time to game online as I used to which is impacted by the fact that most shooters have garbage single player campaigns. Look at Homefront, been wanting that game since last E3 until I heard more often than not that the campaign is roughly 4-6 hours with most of the meat in multiplayer. I'm not paying $60 for 4-6 hours of campaign with little replay value.

To be fair though that is because it was made by activision who has the rights to the james bond franchise as a video game so of course there was going to be some influence of COD. But this is just insane, goldeneye does nothing to distinguish itself.
Maybe in multiplayer it's a fragfest but GoldenEye is more of a thinking man's shooter in the cmapaign, especially on higher difficulties and especially on Classic Difficulty where there is no regen. health. (like the original) You go in guns blazing, you may fail objectives or draw attention that will make your job harder. Like the original game, it's not some dudebro fragfest, there is an actual risk/reward element for how you approach a situation.

I don't understand how you can just say all those games were bad or didn't like them. I can pretty much guarantee that if you really played some of them you would like some. I can also say that as a fact if any of the mentioned games in the video were ported to the Wii, people would buy them. That right there shows that people do want some of those games some, some of the time on their respective console.
Just enjoy the games, not the systems they're on. You're missing the real point of gaming.

Without its HD graphics most people would not even care about those games. I think thats maybe why they concentrate on graphics more than gameplay.

@mikallink Well, I think the gameplay is nice in MGS4 BUT the MAIN reason to play it is the STORY!!!!!!!! something Nintendo games are lacking. I own Wii, 360, Ps3, ps2, ps1, gamecube, GBA, NDS, PsP, SNES, NES, Saturn. Like the recent game Trinity: souls of zill o'll, already hard to find it seems to get a lot of hate. I LOVED that game, great characters and heartfelt story with kick ass gameplay IMO, I never follow media or anything, I do it old school style, check the screen shots, Genre, designs, gameplay

What game was you playing, Final Fantasy XIII sucked from BEGINNING to END. The story was lackluster and the gameplay sucked ass, it played itself. FFXIII can't hold a candle to Final Fantasy V, which wasn't "The first 80% of the game kicked ass :P then the game took a nosedive, and the game ended WAY too early for a FF title," It was good from beginning and awesome at the end.

@FaytSaratome I am just a person that looks at gaming as MORE than a time pass, and more like ART, the kind that has unlimited potential to go beyond movies (which they have done in the past) That's why I almost never play pure gameplay, because I crave something more when I devote time to play games.
@XDoomriderX There should always be a good balance between art and gameplay and unfortunately some games these days are more substance than fun. Take Heavenly Sword for instance: Yes it had a great artstyle and decent voice acting (King Bohan is hilarious) but the QTE and Sixaxis bullshit they tried to force down my throat killed the experience for me.
@Axismagnus I think that heavenly sword was an ok game, not a WOW experience, yes Bohan was fun and I forget the name of the little girl, she was funny too. however what failed for me had nothing to do with the gameplay, it was the lack of heart in the story, I can play almost any type of gameplay as long as it delivers where it really counts for me when the end credits roll. And heavenly sword became a bypassing experience :P
@XDoomriderX Yeah the story was boring as hell and the sixaxis didn't help. But my point is Story and presentation is good but unless the game delivers in a good interactive experience then nothing is stopping me from simply watching the cutscenes on youtube. Drakenguard comes to mind.
@Axismagnus There are games that dont have GREAT interactive gameplay but withe characters and story rank amongst the highest games I know, and that is Legacy of kain series :P Defiance had great gameplay and I loved the VIBE of playing them all because I was never bored and the music filled the atmosphere. And those games together have one of my all time fav stories and characters which in turns makes them all rank amongst the top games for me :D
@XDoomriderX The strangest thing is that I love the Legacy of Kain series for both story and gameplay especially Soul Reaver 1 & 2 but I never liked Blood Omen 2 and Defiance for it's more action-based gameplay. LOL!

LOL! however I loved the Defiance gameplay, Soul reaver 1 is a little one sided when it comes to combat but I enjoy all of those games, but it is easy to point out gameplay "flaws" I can see them but I don't care because I love those games and they have one of the greatest stories I know.

I don't understand how you can just say all those games were bad or didn't like them. I can pretty much guarantee that if you really played some of them you would like some. I can also say that as a fact if any of the mentioned games in the video were ported to the Wii, people would buy them. That right there shows that people do want some of those games some, some of the time on their respective console.
Just enjoy the games, not the systems they're on. You're missing the real point of gaming.

As a person who plays both the Wii and the PS3. Here's my opinions on the games mentioned:
Crysis 2: No opinion as of yet....
L.A. Noire: Don't want.
Uncharted 2 was a good game. I personally cannot wait for 3.
Red Dead Redemption: I hated it personally. (I also hated Red Dead Revolver, so...)
Bulletstorm: Meh
I loved LBP 2. I also loved Kirby, DKCR, Galaxy 2, Sonic Colors, etc etc. I'm a big platformer fan.
Agreed on Mario Kart being better than Modnation Racers.

@mikallink Well, I think the gameplay is nice in MGS4 BUT the MAIN reason to play it is the STORY!!!!!!!! something Nintendo games are lacking. I own Wii, 360, Ps3, ps2, ps1, gamecube, GBA, NDS, PsP, SNES, NES, Saturn. What game was you playing, Final Fantasy XIII sucked from BEGINNING to END. The story was lackluster and the gameplay sucked ass, it played itself. FFXIII can't hold a candle to Final Fantasy V, which wasn't "The first 80% of the game kicked ass :P then the game took a nosedive, and the game ended WAY too early for a FF title," It was good from beginning and awesome at the end.

Take Heavenly Sword for instance: Yes it had a great artstyle and decent voice acting (King Bohan is hilarious) but the QTE and Sixaxis bullshit they tried to force down my throat killed the experience for me.

@Axismagnus I think that heavenly sword was an ok game, not a WOW experience, yes Bohan was fun and I forget the name of the little girl, she was funny too. however what failed for me had nothing to do with the gameplay, it was the lack of heart in the story, I can play almost any type of gameplay as long as it delivers where it really counts for me when the end credits roll. And heavenly sword became a bypassing experience :P

@Axismagnus There are games that dont have GREAT interactive gameplay but withe characters and story rank amongst the highest games I know, and that is Legacy of kain series :P Defiance had great gameplay and I loved the VIBE of playing them all because I was never bored and the music filled the atmosphere. And those games together have one of my all time fav stories and characters which in turns makes them all rank amongst the top games for me :D

@nintondo316 YAY! you actually replied to me for once :P nice :D Well, even Indiana jones took from a lot of even older movies so, endless circle of entertainment, it's all up to us what we enjoy or not :D But it is through opinions that we learn who ppl are and if they can be your friend or not :D

It's not just shooters, Sony/MS keeps crap like DLC and glitches away from our console aswell and I'm happy for that.

@wiilover07 i subscribed to you guys a while ago becuase you can be funny sometimes and i agree with your opinions sometimes, but the trend is always the same, you opinion is pretty much: its not on nintendo= must be generic shooter, must lack any semblence of creativity. good example of a fresh non-nintendo game thats just about to come out is portal 2

people assume we all want bullet storm or splatter house or killzone or whatever shooter there is.if i played one shooter i played them all.i like VARIETY=mario,kirby=platformer,zelda=adventure,metroid=action,pokemon=rpg,pikmin=adv/strategy.

totally agree guys, well said the one thing i don't get is why people bother building mario kart levels on modnation racers and super mario levels on little big planet? just buy the godam game! its superior anyways! first person shooters are getting out of hand but cod black ops on the wii has superior controls and a much better online community. nintendo has it all :) keep up the great work guys :)
