Love this track, heard it on a pirate radio in 1988 but it was played on 33rpm +8, sounded a lot slower and bass-heavy... still killer though on 45.. top stuff :)
@recollonsmix Yo acababa de salir del útero jajaja. Es curioso porque me encanta el EBM y NEw beat, será cierto eso que las canciones preuterinas te marcan para toda la vida.
According to the legend this song, played at 33 rpm, was the beginning of the new beat era. Apparently the DJ played this song by mistake at 33 rpm but the people seemed to like it.
What a wicked choon!!! Heard this one in a rave years ago whilst totally out of it. Could still remember it though as if it were yesterday. What a Beautiful track! ;-)
This is when your flesh, Crimson and pale, Withers behind the blackened veil. The vacant flesh A petrifying look, the choice is easy The outcome always the same. The shortest way to cardiac arrest. The flesh that dreams are made of doesn't last. This when you turn To sanctimonius rituals. The duty of the beast
This is the original 45rpm... The "new beat version" was slowed down to 33 1/3 rpm... by mistake or not, that's still a point of discussion... anyway the slow version became famous...
yes...

belgian new beat was all about low slow beats, that's why the slower version became more popular !!!

It's a shame how little has developed since. This gives goosebumbs from the outset.

OK, so the first time I heard this was at Shoom in London, SE1
...and it's been way too long since I heard or played this in a club.
I suggest a proper classic New Beat/Balearic/House music session with truly classic (late 80's) music is developed for us guys n' gals to reminisce

This IS the original.
..but when dj's started to play it on low speed and caused a whole new genre called "New Beat" ..thats another story. :)

this was some very intense sound back in the day. they would drop this one about 4am, in the clubs in Austin Tx, back in the mid 80's.
