Honda isn't relible at all my moms friend went throw 4 of them in 11 years and they where all new when bought honda fails. i can go on and on honda does not make good cars. this guy was paid off to say that.
@FordBroncoBart when you see a 28 yeal 400 000 km car that is running as smooth as a new one then talk 'bout honda sucking... i doubt there is many other cars that can last for 28 years like my 1984 prelude
I love everything about most GM models except their reliability... if they would just get the powertrain fo a Toyota/Honda they would be a serious threat. But, they also would have to wait like ten years to build the rep for reliability that Toyota Honda Subaru and Mazda have developed and maintained for years.
Current Hybrid + Electrics to Buy. 2012 Chevrolet Volt (Battery Electric). 2012 Toyota Prius plug-in. Ford Fusion + Hybrid. Ford Escape + Hybrid. Honda Civic Hybrid. Honda Civic Natural gas vehicle (NGV). Nissan Leaf Elec.
Toyota is still numero uno in my book. Toyotas a lot more refined than Hondas (not big difference) but still noticeable. Most Toyotas might be considered dull compared to Honda, but in everday driving that is neglible
yaa lets hear it for subaru man .... also i like the one comment that imports are slow and boring idk how thats possible b/c u get the same or even more power out of smaller and more long lasting engines plus imports look way much better. ill keep my 98 legacy 2.5gt limited. so america u can keep ur v8s that put out 300hp and get 4mpg while i can go out and get a sti or forster with its 2.5lit flat-4 power houses . oo and wait there fucking 4 cylinders so get on imports level fuckin american !!
Though Honda has been consistent with its reliability, Honda has stubbed their toe a little bit with product; not a lot of new items, and their hybrids CR-Z and Insight has not raised a lot of eyebrows.
American auto makers are really the have the best reliability every japanise car I've been in was falling a part my family and I have never had a problem with any gm or fords plus consumers have people who work for them that also work at other car makers to make there cars look good and not repot probabems Toyota did this jst look at there recall consumers new this was a problem and didn't say any thing
@jkguitarfreak95 How do you say that? This man just said that Honda was #1 in terms of reliability. How can you sit there and say american cars are the best?
YaY for FORD(and GM)!! I'd buy a ford any day!! Id also think ford before any one else.My grandpa is giving me his 2001 chevrolet SILVERADO, I must say it's VERY much reliable!! It has 178,000 kms on it now.
C.R. Does not have to even mention which is reliable and obviously is Honda and even Toyota i would choose one with my eyes closed over ANY american car. I think we all know that by now. Ford being reliable? absolutely hard to believe. They just don't built them like they use to 60 years ago.
"Ford has led the way in terms of reliability in the past four or five years..." Ford is doing lots of things right, including social media, (with Scott Monty) and the company was named "Marketer of the Year" by AdAge. (And they're testing AdKeeper, a service that puts consumers in control.)
I have owned 3 brand new GM vehicles over the past 3 years, only kept them for so many months. Couldn't waste my time, or gas driving them in for repair every other week. And the rattling and squeaking was enough to drive you nuts. That's something nobody thinks from a new vehicle, shit my 94 Toyota 4runner has 350k on it, and still doesn't make any rattles or squeaks. Best part of driving a Honda or Toyota or any other Japanese product for that matter. is driving past the repair shops.
@GmTruckCarLove Hey genius, the Fusion is an "imported" car as it's produced in Mexico, using Mexican labor. On the other hand, the Camry, Accord and Sonata are all produced in the USA with American labor with high domestic parts content and are not considered "imports" because of that. In fact, the Camry as an 80+% domestic parts content....much higher than many Big 3 vehicles. This is not 1950 anymore. We live in a global economy and you really need to educate yourself.
@GmTruckCarLove Hahah bet ya don't know it, the Ford Fusion uses Japanese parts. Why do you think it is rated so high (: And most Toyota's are built More in America then the Big 3, unlike the big 3 they use their profits and support the American economy, not corporate greed, and the executives pocket and Mexico.
honda is on top eh... uncle's CRV keeps breaking the ac compressor, read forums and it's a COMMON issue, it gets hideous gas mileage, Acura 1.7L el if i got a cash for every time the head gasket went I'd be driving a Lexus!!
meanwhile mom is driving a 2004 corolla manual and all she does is maintenance, whenever in a blue moon that needs to be done...
if you maintain your vehicles the way the manufacturer recommends. any brand is a 300, 000 mile vehicle
