  • 6:45 epic neck break

  • the broadway soundtrack is way better than this, and the concept album is even better than that. an amazing musical, but while the hoff tried, he kinda killed it. :-/

  • I used to think this was the most amazing thing, but now I watch it again and feel like its a mediocre performance hiding behind amazing effects. :P

  • Does anyone know if Bisset actually gets to sung in this?

  • I'm Bisset!!

  • Bad news from God!

  • they opened their umbrellas... WHEN IT WAS SNOWING ON MY SCREEN!!!

  • do you have a recording of the whole show? I love this! :) thanks for posting!

  • 2:22 requires a lot of balls- he must be on his ass. LOL

  • this is hard to sing to without lyrics...

  • This song is catchy!!!

  • 0.0 They opened umbrellas indoors

  • Who the hell choreographed this?

  • 1:01 plasmid upgrade?

  • im so excited to perform this next January. Im gonna be that exact character Bisset. :P

  • amazing but horrible choreography!

  • i love the one red umbrella xD

  • I love this song. I was in this play in 2010 and loved it! David is awesome!

  • I was in this play last winter... this was my favorite number. The whole cast got ourselves so worked up so we were actually feeling scared :)

  • "Step beside, you...you...creature." XD I find this scene really funny. :)

  • (Except for Hasselhoff) I love the whole Crew and I love this song. :D

  • Why are this people walking around singing when there is a murderer on the loose?

Why does the newspaper guy seem so happy, is it because he has interesting work now?

Who in their right would cast David Hasselhoff as Mr. Hyde anyway?

Why is song dragged on so long?

Why don't they even try to chase Mr. Hyde after he kills someone?

How does the funiture float away at the end of the scene like that?

  • @RevengeOfTheGarden Have you never heard of what a musical is? IT's kind of the point of everyone not seeing what's going on. Stop trying to troll. Besides, David Hasselhoff bought the rights to produce this. He financed just about everything. So I think he has the right to cast himself in it

  • "Friend's take what comfort that you can from us" Whatever version of this song you listen to, someone with an amazing voice has this line, I love it so! X3

  • @DreamMyMusic My camp is putting on an amazing production of this and I have the Priest's solo it is so epic to sing.

  • haha when i saw the musical i could not stop laughing!! :)

  • i dont know about you but i just love this call me crazy

  • 5 people were murdered! XD

  • this is silly

  • drug seller guy: Are you alright Dr. Jekyll? You don't seem like yourself.

Dr. Jekyll: And thats only the half of it!!

And thats how you make a dramatic scene extremely corny :D

  • I saw Kevin Gray do this inpittsburgh today. He was excellent in the role of Jekyll/Hyde. However in their version, Archibald tried to be intimidating by whipping his hanky in Hyde's direction.

  • @shademaster24601 I saw Pittsburgh's as well, and found it to be far more superior to this version!

  • "to kill outside St. Paul's requires a lot of balls"

"he hates the upperclass, he must be on his ass"

    Funniest lyrics ever!! :D

  • This is the best version for the orchestra and for the chorus, but Hoff...

    Hoff makes me just sad.

  • Hey wanna take a shot for every time they say Murder?

  • @mth31216 Haha! You'd die of alcohol poisoning 30 seconds into the song. x]

  • lol seriously i AM a fan of this musical, and i AM a great musical lover. And i say the hoff sucks in this role

  • I love this version of this song. Even though I don't care for Hoff's Jekyll, his Hyde is awesome! The only thing I don't really like is the choreography. I love it in the beginning when they have those umbrellas, but I detest it towards the end, when all they are doing is frantically running around, it seems. I wish the umbrellas would've stayed consistent. Simply my opinion.

  • I'm not sure I quite understand. Hyde is supposed to be evil, yet, he kills other evil people, so does that make him good in a sense?

  • @NamelessPerson34 That's Kira thinking D8

  • 7:49 The Hoff is crazy... :3

  • does anyone else have a "hyde side" (it can be really annoying in his brain) (shut up hyde)

  • "Well Well Well....If it isn't Faith! Hope! And Charity!" hahaa. XD

  • "Step aside you-you..... creature." haha he reminds me of raoul but looks like the duke from Moulin Rouge :)

  • omg i got chills the male bishoop is amzing...

  • Does this song remind anyone else of Midsommer Murders?

  • they said murder 189 times

  • @Legowizard137 you were counting?

  • @Legowizard137

    Thanks Rain Man!

  • dat pink umbrella

  • @actingbug28 why say ur age wtf?

  • I'm Archie this spring O_•

  • You know how I'd like to see this performed? to have the chorus tone be more calm like 'oh this is probably just a rumor' in the beginning then as more ppl are murdered they start to freak out and their singing becomes more tense like "holy shit ppl are actually dying, but hopefully the police will handle it right?" then towards the end they just start paniking and freaked and are like "OMFG WE"RE ALL GONNA DIE!!!!!" it kinda does that here but I'd like to see it fled out more

  • Great show! Love it! Done it twice and my third time this month!!

Such a dynamic song, sadly Hoffs in it :-/ the way he kills is brilliant! Just him xD

  • okay.. u gotta admits. hasselhoff is brilliant with the murders hes good at creepy (:

  • "You really shouldn't wear your jewels on the street, you never know who you'll encounter!" "Please!" "Please, that's a hard word to say, probably the first time you ever used it! MWAH!" Brilliant xD

  • I love how they just...don't see him AT ALL. *snort*

  • BEST VERSION I'VE SEEN

  • This musical is a masterpiece

  • @starvingartist109 AMEN!!!!

  • I love that look on the newsboy's face!

  • awesome

  • Turn on Closed Captioning and go to 'transcribe audio' lol

  • in this scene for my school musicalllll cant wait!!!!

  • I am 13 and I am going to see this next month!!!

  • i love this song and the staging, but the red umbrella pisses me off.XD

  • What does he say at 3:03?

  • @AnneBoleynHero Farty night?

  • I love the mass service especially Requiem Aeternam

  • well, i hate to say it, but i think, i like the hyde in the production i'm in right now better....but the rest is great...love the umbrella idea^^

  • @RevengeNerd now if only someone would kill the the HOFF off!!!!

  • "to kill outside st. paul's, requires a lot of balls!" is anyone hearing that, probably the worst lyric in the history of music theatre. also the umbrella choreo, WTF!?

  • @musicalperson17 The umbrella thing: The setting is London, England. One characteristic of the English land is that it rains. A lot. Like, almost-every-day a lot. So, the umbrellas not only would have meant the rain, but I can see some sort of symbolism that they are trying to protect themselves from the murderer.

At least, that's my take on it.

And BTW: I LOVE that line, it's just so random! This is a pretty dark musical - and song - so they probably wanted to lighten the scene a bit.

  • @ihartrodatkins

But surely better could have been done than tilting them at odd angles and bopping up and down with them.

And I really don't think that a homicidal rampage should be the funny part of the musical. In fact, I think the only light-hearted moments in the show should be from the romance between Jekyll and Emma and Lucy's delusional hope for a better life.

  • @AlexiaDark I guess we are going to have to agree to disagree, because I personally like the umbrella thing (I thought it was a very original idea) and that it wouldn't really be a good idea to make fun of Lucy's dream... I can definitely see where you're coming from, though.

And I do thank you for disagreeing intelligently and respectably - it seems we dont' get that a lot nowadays.

  • Four people saw this, and had a stroke from the awesomeness and misclicked, or they hate Hoff

  • Lol, I'm 13 and can't wait to sede this someday

  • @idislikesand YES!!!!!!!!

  • Sweet I'm not the only twelve yr old! lolz

  • @smchicks85 I'm 13 lol

  • To be fair, The Hoff did a great job at this part! I don't like him as an actor but i will give credit where credit is do and he played his part very well

  • i love this play and im only 12 !!!!

  • I LOVE this musical, but David Hasselhoff? Really?

Was the one in charge of casting drunk??!

I mean, he wasn't TERRIBLE.... but it's freakin David Hasselhoff, folks!

He's about as deep as a puddle, how did they expect him to play a complex character like Jekyll & Hyde??

  • 1 - Would it have been too much trouble to get someone younger to play the newsboy.

    2 - Choreography fail.

3 - Mr. Hyde and Jack the Ripper should team up. Hyde the Ripper... yeah thas good. :)

  • I love this musical. But can somebody explain to me why they choose to give the part of Jekyll/Hyde to David Hasselhoff?

  • cane through the mouth ftw!

  • I love the music, I am doing it in singing class but it is rushed a bit but I still like it,

  • I love the song, i love the vocals, i love the whole sequence. But have to say this choreography is....HORRIFIC! 7:20 is the finest example - are they pretending to kill each other?!!?!

  • @mercutio843 im in this play. are fine arts center is recreating it. during that part, we are pretending to kill each other.

  • im playing this musical in marching band, its fun

  • probably jack the ripper and mr hyde could team up. but that would be bad but in a good way though.

  • @rockinamber18 Don't leave Sweeney Todd out of the fun!

  • My school is performing this musical this year and I am in Tech so I have to help out making it, collecting props, lighting, etc.

  • I'm a fan of the way Archibold says "Scandalous!"

Also the end where Hoff...I mean Hyde...pops up behind the whole ensemble.

  • This is sooooooooooooooooooooooo epic!!!!!

  • I adore this music and the story! Hoff kicks ass as Hyde!!

  • I wish we had more of this version in our high school production.

  • i'd have to say, our chorus is pretty good compared to broadway. :D

i LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this song. <3

  • 4:50 I LOVE the Hoff's look, iwth that unmoving bit. HILARIOUS!

  • Is it wrong that I find this whole number hilarious?

  • Oh, and the people are SO stupid...

"OH MY GOSH A DEAD BODY!!!"

(while they're two feet away... Hyde kills another person)

"OH MY GOSH ANOTHER DEAD BODY!!!"

    XD

  • @PhangirlMusician well there wasnt really a point of them running off of stage for like 20 seconds and run back on so they just didnt have lights on the other people while hyde killed someone else

  • Comment removed

  • @PhangirlMusician Please tell me you're joking. It's something people in the theatre call "Suspension of Disbelief" meaning that if it doesn't make LITERAL sense, it makes sense theatrically since spacing, stage, set and etc. are often hard to depict everything in the script or language. An educated audience would understand. Apparently it falls short for some people since this flew right over your head.

  • @PhangirlMusician : But its a broadway production. Not real life :P

  • @PhangirlMusician its called acting lol

  • @PhangirlMusician ...The fact that a guy drinks a potion that splits his personality and even alters his physical appearance you buy...but the fact they didn't notice a murder clearly would NOT happen :) Fair play haha

  • ROFL!

"Step aside... you... you *pokes* creature."

  • Seeing this, I don't know how anyone can say that the Hoff ruined this part. I mean hell, look at his Hyde! His Hyde was marvelous, despite his.. (barely?) tolerable singing. His singing might not be favored by many, but his acting was top par when it came to this musical. *Especially* his Hyde.

  • @MasqueLeNuit I just don't really favor his voice. I think Cuccioli's voice is far more sinister as Hyde, but Hoff's not bad. And you're right, his acting is very good.

  • @MasqueLeNuit

HE wasn't that good at Hyde....he took too long on his lines. It's like he has to build up his lack of conscience. He isn't that good. There are MUCH better performers than Hoff.....MUCH MUCH better.

  • I love the bright red floor. It's such a great contrast!

  • The first time I saw this I was laughing at the lyrics (Like Much worse than the first two murders, and Just like the other murder) because I thought it was so silly they were repeating the obvious, but now this is one of my favorite songs in the whole musical.

  • i really think this is my favorite musical....well this and rent xD

  • @showchoir001 my favorites are les miserable and this!

  • FANTASTIC!

  • I love this musical, the songs and everything. Off to find a video of my favorite song:D.

  • I did this musical 2 years ago. It one one of the most amazing theatrical experiences of my life, I loved it :)

  • I LOVE the dancing. The choreography is BRILLIANT!! I don't know why but I love the move they do at 0:49

  • 4:30 is my favorite killing(s) of the entire play. "Please... that's an awfully hard word for you to pronounce" Absolutely brilliant.

  • " to kill outside St. Pauls, requires a lot of balls" hahahahahahhahahah so great

  • I love the ending with Hyde in the back!!! amazing acting in this song!!

  • I love the end of this.

  • I just downloaded this mp3 at mp3iffy. Check that site out - its sick. Google mp3iffy

  • i would LOVE to play Jekyll/Hyde!! he reminds me of.....ME!!!!

  • i want to watch the play now!

  • i want to watch the play!

  • Okay sissy boy was pretty much asking for it. -_-'

  • @CitizenOfWonderland Yes he was. I could almost hear Hoff saying "You brain-dead little batcrap. . . Who do you think you're talking to?"

    xD

  • Ohhh, my god, Hoff is so amazing in this part! How terribly creepy~!

  • Hyde looks like a vampire in this song.

  • i cant beleive this musical didnt make more better reviews its excellent music all the way through the story

  • 2:35 Jag den Mörder hinfort? I thought it was english XD A great song I have no Idea why I like it so much =D

  • I love how nonchalant he is and all the witty lines he gives before they die... the music is great also

  • 1:57

    HOW?!?!?! thats IMPOSSIBLE!!!

  • @twinklemoviestar Stage magic

  • @twinklemoviestar The stick probably either shrinks like an accordion or is like one of those Child toy light sabers that shrink... sorry if I'm not very clear.

  • @Kehdiri no i think i get it.

    broadway is so magical lol

  • @Kehdiri He did it on the other side of the head.

Did you not see it show it up behind the head?

It didn't really enter the mouth.

  • @MadelineHatter Oh - actually I just watched it again. I never actually noticed that. :O Thanks for informing me. :) Maybe it was supposed to have the effect of going through his head? Ehh I don't know.

  • awesome!

  • "Bad new from God, Teddy"- ROFL Best line!!!

  • 0:58- 1:22 gives me a musicalgasm

  • I Like Hoff a lot, i think be does a great job =]

  • I just noticed that the one woman on the far right front in the "Murder, murder" chorus has a light blue umbrella. I have been thinking this whole time there was only one standout umbrella.

  • this musical would be greater if it was a movie.

  • @lennythew0lf

    I agree

  • It's being made into a movie!! :D Check out the website. WOO!

  • I kno Hasselhoff is pretty crap but I've got to addmit I think he's quite good in this part. I sure wouldn't like to meet him in a dark alley. :L

  • ok so hasselhoff ruined this show.

could've stayed on for a lot longer, but no, he wouldn't give up the part to a better actor

  • David Hasselhoff. Why? He sucks!!! I'd say he has a good voice, but the acting just cancels out everything good!

  • the priest has a powerfull voice

  • The Hoff is a terrible singer and a sorry Jekyll, but I have to say that he portrays Hyde pretty well.

  • I love this!

If I were ever lucky enough to perform in it, I would want the random red umbrella lol

  • @18Gettysburg63 lol me 2

Our school Is doing the play

  • This one is my favorite. :)

Granted, I really only know the three songs that made up our marching show, but this one is fun to play and is just.. Totally awesome.

  • me 2

  • anyone know why there's that one red umbrella? lmao

  • Fav song from the musical:) I love this

  • This is my favorite song from this musical. So dark and morose...

  • Tee hee... the red umberella

  • Sweet. It is so much FUN to see the Hoff kill people. Excellent staging.

  • where can i find a dvd of this show

if i do see one im ganna jump all over this dvd

    *holds wallet close*

  • Are you sure this isn't from Marry Poppins? XD

    Umbrellas. . .why?

  • ...For atmosphere? It's trying to set up that the area is dark, rainy, and depressing. It's also probably a way to incorporate some choreography.

Though that would be funny if it was Mary Poppins. It would be like a mix between Mary Poppins and Sweeney Todd.

  • Just saying. Our local production used newspapers. I thought it made more sense.

. . .this should be made xD

  • i just cant get over that umbrella in red.. just i dont know...

  • We did this in marching band! :D

Oh god, I loved that show. <3

  • I LOVE this song!! The choreography at the beginning is like what we are doing for our On Broadway show! I Love this song a ton!! Yeah im backstage help but I cant help singing to it while they are practicing this song and I also do the same with Facade lolz.

  • i like this version, but i liked the cuccioli version better because of the sparkling costumes..plus cuccioli is in it.

  • We did this in marching band four years ago and dominated completely. Fond memories.

  • my schools doing this play. i love this song,

  • And we're doing this in band as well.

Popular this year isn't it. ;)
