POST THE MINISTRY MUD FIGHT!!!! I have long tried to explain to others how insane the Mosh Pit was; as well as the notorious garbage/grass fight. Impossible. You have to see it to believe it. Glad footage exists somewhere. Please repost it. It's Epic Rock and Roll - Undocumented (as of now). How many people to you think were in those cyclone/mosh pits? 800-1000?
My internet acces is almost completely nill. I am only able to access it once every week to couple weeks so doing that will be hard but i`ll remember that so many people are requesting this. Yeah it was pretty insane from what you see on the video.
I was there and you are correct - you had to be there to experience it for yourself. There is no way to explain it. I have the vision in my head still. I was sitting in approximately the same area as this footage was taken. Looking back behind me at the mosh pit and the thousands of pieces of sod flying through the air was like nothing I have ever seen at a concert even to this day. Sod was being hurled from the lawn through the seats and ending up all over the stage.
@callmethegun I hate to say stuff like "biggest ever .." and things like that. But I run a well-known music blog and have been to 100s of concerts over the years. And it was one of the most memorable experiences I've ever had at a show. It was dark when Ministry played -- but every so often (maybe camera flashes or something) would light up the area where the mosh-pit was and it looked like one of those hurricane graphics you see on the weather channel. Just a massive circling. Looked dangerous.
Oh yeah when the internet is working again that`ll come. I`ve got video of that too, and Al Jourgenson`s pissed off rant about people throwing it during their set.
I do. It was wild. I got hit with a rock in the head. People just started watching Ministry with their arms over their heads to protect themselves. Then Al stopped the show. He said, "Hey, if you MFers wanna throw shit I'll just sit here and take home all your money. But if you want to see a great f-ing band, then stop throwing shit!" Then it stopped. Ha. Remember that Ministry mosh-pit on the hill? Biggest mosh pit I've ever seen. It looked like a huge twister. Wish I would have had a camera.
