...AND IT HAS BEEN 16 HOURS SINCE MY LAST DIY SLIP UP...lol....whats up brother...just got back from up north.....great times...some good snow and ice.....nice nestling set you got there....thats alotta bang for the buck....ttys brother...
@Ggreenvideos good times...love it up there...funny thing as soon as i left RI and headed to NH....RI got 9 inches of snow over night...lol..im hoping we get more this week....otherwise heading north again, lol.
@Ggreenvideos a man has to be at home...and if that happens to be outdoors ...lol...then so be it....hey Rich I guess we all know what state Im going to retire in,lol.
@Kamikazemcfly Thanks :o) Just cut another identical can, press it over another can to stretch it, first drill a hole in the bottom of the can being stretched as not to create a vacuum when pressing over your stove. you have a die...sort of :o) The radius in the can/die rolls it over. Don't press too far though. Baby steps :o)
YEEEHHAARR ... awesome show buddy !!! Seems to be an older exercise movie from the NASA - " how to make a coffee on your way to the moon ! " HA HA Do ya remember the words " ... Houston ? we`ve got a problem ! " The original (and never showed!) second part was : " ... we`ve forgotten Rich`s space coffee machine !!! " And the answer of Houston was : " Roger! Abort the flight and come back Apollo 13 ! Mission is failed ! " HAR HAR 8-)
@whoismiketruong Thankya kindly :o)Those Heineken cans are getting rare now since they quit making them. If you can find one grab it...hehe! They're like gold :o)
That's a great set up you have here. You can't beat a good coffee when your out camping. This is something that I'm looking into at the moment, a lightweight way to make good coffee. Instant coffee is from the devil in my view! The paper filter seem a very good idea. Thanks for showing what you have come up with.
@Ggreenvideos Ive been looking at the GSI Ultralight Java coffee maker. It seems to work in the same was your set up does but with a reusable filter. I might get and give it a go. Worth a look.
@danman911 Thanks! Are you in a hurry or something...haha! The stove wasn't intended to be fast! I have tons of fast stoves! I use the best fuel out there Methyl Hydrate. 99.9% pure alcy! Better than Heet or denatured!
@danman911 This is the fuel Iv'e always used. Much cheaper than heet. Buy it in 4 liter jugs in the paint department. Canadian tire for the Canucks out there :o)
OK. You sir are a genius. I wish I could type more, but I'm off to get the stuff I need to make this system. No more instant coffee for me on the trail. It's all fresh from now on. You ROCK!!!
You have a serious addiction my friend! Nice system! Every time we think it can't get smaller and lighter, we get a surprise. Oh and BTW, the quest for perfect bush coffee is NEVER done! It can only get more "perfecter". This almost sounds like a challenge!... I know, I know, I still have my 2 favourite knives video to do :o)
@Wintertrekker My name is Rich...and I am an addict...haha! This isn't my lightest kit by far, but for all that is in it it's pretty good for weight :o) Not the perfect coffee? Should I just change brands?...hehe :o) Thanks for comin' by my friend. Yeah, where's that knife vid? ;o)
Awesome kit. Now I want to see the whole thing at regular speed. I love that the stove has a warning about fire hazard and explosive danger on the side :)
It appears you had plenty of caffine putting together and testing your new kit - you looked a bit rushed on this vid - LOL! That's an awesome combo Bushbuddy. I like that nice looking little stove. What's that coffee you're drinking? Throttle back a bit on it - hehe!
@wawhiker Hahaha! Oh yeah buddy! Got lots of coffee in me! Even some Timmy's French Vanilla...haha! Thankya buddyO! The little burner formed real nice :o) Time for a break....for a few hours...haha!
@smokeeater908 Thankya kindly brotha' ;o) It was much colder than that when I was putting it together...haha! More like in the -40's whooo buddy that's ccccold :o(
definitely the coolest coffee kit in the whoooole wide world. but....., i dump instant coffee in hot water. good enough.

Nice setup! way slow on the boil though. Are you using isopropyl alcohol or denatured? Denatured works best, less soot.
