  • Damm! things always work like a charm untill a mistake! crazy!

  • Who is the crazy sun of a bitch the wanted to do this?

  • scarry? not really!! awesome hell yeah!!

  • that is ridiculous! Hella of a job!

  • Buy a flatbed. OSHA will be much happier!

  • why don't they use a flatcar for transporting stuff like that?

  • @greendude96 They are doing more than just transporting this machine; its placed on top of the gondolas to load or offload material from the train car to or from the right-of-way.

  • @rad3766 There's gotta be a better solution. Don't they have flat beaded cars with crane's already attached?

  • @ProjectAresPSN; My best answer to you is to go to Herzogs website and watch their Cartoppers video, then you should come to the conclusion that using a Cartopper is so much more effecient than using a flat car mounted crane. (In using a Cartopper, it advances itself from car to car and there can even be multiple Cartoppers working the same train at the same time....while the train is moving even. With a crane set-up its only able to reach within its boom radius.

  • why don't they use a flatcar for transporting stuff like that?

  • they dont need a ramp the human has evolved so much they do stunt driving on a daily basics

  • he should be crowding the bucket to keep it level.....

  • thats not a problem if yur a plumber lmfao we can feel cable tv wires with hudge machines but loading a machine like that kind of way like we somtimes have to do as well can be a slow process but easy .

  • one hell of a way to unload thatz sweet

  • PURE REDNECKS !!!

  • bus 62 driver has a new job

  • I took a John Deere out of a basement once like this, it damn sure ain't no time to have a hydraulic line break that's for sure !! And your pump better be producing all the pressure it's supposed to. There are some hoes and excavators that just won't do it because of their hydraulic weakness.

  • k burreria....ese tio sabe lo que lleva y ademas tiene un par de huevos...si señor...

  • 1:30 and that's where I would be shitting bricks.

  • u guys are out of your fuckin minds

  • all in a day's work......................

  • BALLZZ!

  • bloody stupid, talk about putting yourself at risk i can drive a back hoe but if someone ask me to do that i tell them where to go,completely unecessary.

  • and.. to make matters worse- there were two invulnerable supermen inside the cab.

  • Браво....

  • Welcome to the deep south...

  • mad skills, but id still have to fire him. this is why insurance is sky-high.

  • My goodness it would suck if a hydraulic gave out!

  • Dangers but neat

  • very carefully.....

  • this is a terrible idea, the entire load on that grapple joint made me cringe. . . . this is why nice machines never last eh. . .

  • Herzog Cartopper, check out the company video on my channel

  • Amazing , i never seen anything like this in my life ....thanks the one who made the video and post and of course , youtube !

  • 2:10 he asks : "you want a hit of this joint?"

  • Be a very bad time for the hydraulics to go bad or bust!!

  • That Bitch has BIG BALLS.!!

  • Looked fine most of the time, but I have to wonder about the joint on that log-picker being used like that.

  • put a quarter in to drive the hook you wont win tho this man did

  • im truly amazed i just saw that

  • now he is a trained pro lol

  • good to know you dont need a lift to service a backhoe just a tall sturdy structure hahahahhaha

  • Hero.Damn auto correct

  • That guy is my herp

  • You were constipated and wanted to shit bricks or what!?

  • Removal is the reverse of installation

  • How the fuck can this be legal, i'm shittin my pants and i'm only watchin

  • @thegreencomposter How can it be illegal??

  • Osha would be shitting bricks

  • Hehehehehehehe....he's a dicepticon...hehehehehehehe...HA...

  • @kevinvu2009; I must commend you on your English skills........anyway......

The contractor (and crew) in this case is the Union Pacific RR and theyre using Herzog as a sub contractor.

The Cartopper isnt some spur of the moment idea hatched by a renegade MOW crew, its a proven design.

Not sure if the FRA or OSHA has jurisdiction over this type of operation, theres alot of regulatory overlap and turf war, but Im sure both agencies approve the use of Cartoppers The RR's insurance has to ok also.

  • @heavyliftking Somebodys last name lol

  • GREAT SKILLS .

  • So you guys work for the state or town? with all those guys standing around it's gotta be

  • @SweetMooch; I myself am a marine engineer; I happened to come across these guys on my last day of a motorcycle road trip from NYC to Houston. The Maintenance of Way crew is Union Pacific guys and if I understand it correctly, the Cartopper comes with at least the operator from Herzog.

  • @SweetMooch Rail road its union.

  • @SweetMooch yes u tend to have "spotters" when loading a fuckn machine like this off a train,no matter who u work for!

  • If i would be the traindriver i would have flored it a 2:00 and then run..

  • Bad ass!

    10's

  • No workers comp there hey

  • How easily could that go wrong!

  • actually its not likely to go bad but if it does the costs and liabillity could be devasting to a company

  • Making an Arc like a BOSS at 2:00

  • Well I will be god damned! Thanks! Great work!

  • I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't seen it. Awesome!

  • Just a question. Wot is the thing doing up there in the first place?

  • @VamosFawkes The backhoe is fitted with a grapple, so Im guessing they were loading / unloading ties.

Herzogs website has all the info on their 'Cartopper' equipment and some other cool stuff too.

  • @VamosFawkes watch?v=DKtHdwb-1ao&NR=1

  • now that's cool!!!!!

  • i've experienced something like this before. scary but fun to watch.

  • Now i understand what is a redneck ;)

  • i have worked with all those guys unloading ties in texas

  • @husseyracing They seemed like a bunch of good guys; my hat is off to them.

  • how do those things move when they are on a car?

  • Its all fun and games until you blow a hose...

  • @12Flyboy12 thats what i was thinking ... what if a hose broke or a piston gave way .. "CRASH"

  • I know that foreman.... lol, Ive unloaded OTM for him with a cartopper with a mag.
