The bead blaster is really nice for hard to sand parts and leaves a very nice surface to paint. I thought you would like it, glad you got one.

very nice looking. its too bad you really cannot buy these machines, restore them, and sell them for a profit. i would go into business doing it.unfortantly all people want is new for some reason people arent attracted to old machines that are new again. problem is that people would just rather buy new machines, and they (we both know) are glorified mtd built junk.

there is anothr piece that is spring loaded that whenyou push the front hangers into where yo have zip ties,its a arm that monts right above ...but anyways a really nice job 500 let me know if you need parts i have connections..lol

Awsome job - looks better then OEM new - Thumbs up!

You can get powder coating kits- for the oven, just pick up a used old oven cheep that works or take yours from the kitchen and buy a new one- LOL!

I see you're just as anal as I am when installing things. I LOVE me some masking tape. I usually use the blue or green for easier removal.

@500passwords Yeah, I have someone do it for me, but it's MUCH more resistant to rough handling like a lawn mower/garden tractor would see. I would use it on all but the large flat areas. It doesn't have the depth of sprayed on paint. But for those parts that see grass all the time, it'd rock. I am redoing a JD pedal tractor I got as a kid and plan to have it all powder coated. I'm building it for my young son. I need it as bullet proof as possible. lol

i know what p-coating is :) its just to expensive for what i had to do .

i did powder coat the black bracket on my wheel horse so

my shiny chrome lever wouldnt rub the paint off it .

i like the deep gloss paint look better but i understand the wear thing ,

@500passwords Oh, that Miller welder you have sitting there is powder coated. ALL Millers have been painted with this method for probably the last 15 years or more.

You have a good singing voice, and your guitar is ok, too. Seems you might have a shot at doing some videos other than just putting an old lawn tractor back together right properly. Nice dogs, too. I like your masking tape paint finish protection trick. (I'm no pro at any thing like that, but the trick may come in handy some day.)

@500passwords My apologies to the tractor. She has been rebuilt. I mis-spoke myself. You are right. Newness is very relative. It works fine, it mows fine. But, you, you could sing, I've seen a lot worse, trust me. I have also seen phenomenal stuff. Search for Siany Kummer from Australia. (Esp 1 Tin Soldier) Search "HistoryTeachers". Plenty good music there.

Man that looks so good 500 I picked up another 129 and also got a 1450 a couple weeks ago. Got a Swisher pull mower 60 inch finish mower with electric start and man does it do a good job 500. Getting me a Ice Cold Bud Light right now buddy.
