It has to be staged - no true tournament is played in some guys basement on a Billiards Table. Not to mention the winner dealt the cards. I guess they didn't have a fourth friend to be the dealer.

Plus, he had maybe a half of a percent in the pot of his total chips. If he had lost all his chips his reaction might be justified, but for the measly amount of chips in the middle it was way out of proportion and a total act.
