I heard from Bass Players at various places on the interwebs that Hofner Bass is muddy and not clear.

It look good, but is undefined sound.

Look at clip from Wings 1979 coming up, you hear sound of bass properly.

Honestly, when Paul plays live, he can just coast on his reputation (which is considerable) and do a mediocre show if he wants to. He won't be hurt financially or anything.

But he doesn't do that. He's playing with fire and deep passion here, and he doesn't take his audience for granted. That's one of the marks of a great artist.

@midisun2010 I dunno about this, I mean Macca is good sure and these shows are charming, but his earlier shows are much more energetic and fresh, now he really just stands there with his Hofner, struggling to hit those high notes with his band just carrying him through. But in saying that, the guy is nearly 70, so yeah, credits due where credit is due.

Great song but I noticed he plays the bass line differently than in 1979 with Wings, weird. In the chorus he goes down the neck check it out should be there in video responses good view about 2.25 for that video.
