"But when you fall in love, it's... different..." ... His face just froze up like, "OH MY GOD I CAN'T BELIEVE I JUST SAID THAT OUT LOUD." Hahha Kurt, you're such a mush. Adorable.
kurt cobain doesnt need to write Backwards Music anymore.... Hes with the devil NOW!!! Everyone KNOWS Suicide go Straight to Hell... No suiciders music could inspire Normal People... CASE CLOSED!!!!
its the fans fault. you see like rape me, they had to resort to blunt sarcasm because everyone reads to much into amazing songs like polly and about a girl
Such an unexpected man.I was in middle school when he died and Nirvana's music was a little too old for me, at the time. But I never realized how deeply thoughtful and genuine Kurt Cobain was. You get the impression from his music that he would be unapproachable and a bit hard, but as already mentioned, he seemed unafraid to show vulnerability and had no "macho" or "must be cool" affectations about him. He was an intelligent, unique man -- and a true music nerd. It really was all about the music.
Cobain basically says in this interview that he wanted to take the album into a more electronic/new wave, or possibly industrial direction with the next Nirvana album (had he not been killed). Very interesting.
Kurt kind of done too many drugs coming up in the ranks and suffered from his drug abuse and it shows in this interview that his insecurity was most likely from his drug abuse and not his romance with Courtney though, he was tired and wanted another life and hated his fans because he did not believe that anybody cared for him when he was broke so why care when he's rich:)?
@mikey777799 Nah. He seemed secure enough in his convictions, that he wouldn't feel the need to say things just to please people and get attention. I don't think he craved public attention -- being singled out -- at all. And if he felt something was unjust, he seems like the kind who wouldn't hide his position, even if it was an unpopular one and he might be shunned over it. He wouldn't be ashamed of his beliefs and sensitivity. He had nothing to prove.
Ha, ha, ha...:" All I want to know where the term grunge comes from". Really? You're interviewing one of the most interesting personas in the history of music and that's all you want to know? Why don't you do your research then if that's all you want to know.
My God,I remember when I was watching this while he was still alive and basically thinking the same thing most ppl here are saying and commenting on,about his personality.I was 16 at the time, listening to Nirvana, idolizing Kurt. They were one of the 1st bands I've heard live at a concert. And I'll always remember when I heard about his death..shock & denial like someone close 2 you had died. Now I'm 7 years older than he was when he died & still thinking the same thing. Weird feeling. R.I.P. Kurt
ARE YOU KIDDING ME.... who is this honest and humble....KURK WAS ONE OF A KIND never to be repeated. IM a generation x er and i AM truly proud to be part of this time.
Kurt is the ony person I know of who I can fully relate with, I never knew him, I am only 20 years old but we had so much in common when it came to thinking and experiences when growing up. I wish I had met him. RIP
I'm not sure if I misheard... at the end, did he say "but we still don't want to be too political, 'cause it's just kind of embarrasing to do that"? If he did then: HAHAHA priceless. So true :D
kurt was drugged with psych drugs when he was young like ritalin and other nasty shit. this stuff fucking killed him. you wanna know who killed cobain?. psychiatry did. a child and teenagers worst enemy is a psychiatrist. RIP kurt, your tormentors will get what is coming to them by god.
he mentioned he wanted to do something with hip hop or breakdance as he called it which was cool and all these rockers talk about how it sucks and their idol loves it.
He seemed such a nice person.... it's a shame he's not here anymore... if someone would had asked me what famous person I would have grabbed a cup of coffee with, that would have been Kurt.
All what he stood against, is gone down the toilet. His idealism and Will easily corrupted by his wife´s egocentric n´´selfish actions. He married her for all the wrong reasons however that sometimes works well but not in this case.. he married an illusion.. a deathly one.
He said he married her because it was the best sex ever lol I mean, I think if Kurt had to explain why he killed himself he'd probably say he just couldn't handle anything anymore, and he probably saw himself as a junkie, and didn't think their family deserved that. He cared a lot about his image and didn't want to reflect that on him or his family, which is overreacting. I'm not going to stand either for or against Courtney, but I'd assume the last thing he'd blame it on would be his family.
wow after watching this I think Korn and Anthrax took the idea and ran with it or maybe Kurt got the idea from Anthrax... idk hmmm but all I can say is that Kurt was facinated with suicide ever since 8th grade when he found a freind hanging in the woods. Either he killed himself due to that plus his guilt over adiction and all his pain from his back and stomach issues or Courtney used this what she knew to cover up his murder. I hope it was the latter because this man does not deserve to burn i
this interview is great. i love how it just looks like an interview with the average guy on the street. no studio. no glitz and glam. no cliché quotes. no light effects. just a plain interview.
@CrazyDan1984 maybe it wasn't her.... she's not the only one that could have done it. My god. If you are going to speculate at least use your brain people. fuckin a

@minaroar Yea she used him, it's obvious. She has a history of dating lead singers of bands, that's how she made connections and got popular.. aside from stripping.
Anyway that's all fine and dandy, it's a sad fact but people get used. What upsets me is that the way she really bonded with him was through drug use... if she wasn't encouraging him or wasn't in the picture would he have got hooked on heroin? Would he have killed himself if he wasn't addicted and miserable?
@StevooooooBell I know, if she didn't like the drugs she could have left him much sooner, she didn't care because of his wealth and fame,I think when he commited suicide he knew she was using him.
