The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess - The Dark Interlopers

My theory I think the three interlopers were the Twili, the Majora Tribe and whatever Demise's tribe was. The goddesses then locked the Twili in the Twilght Realm, the Majora were maybe "sealed away in shadow" along with the mask and Demise was locked away in the Sealed Grounds where he manifests himself as The Imprisoned.

Wow! Now that I've beaten Skyward Sword, I can draw some interesting connections to the time of the interlopers and the war with maybe the war on the surface in which Demise sought the power of the Triforce. In fact, the three dragons, Faron, Eldin, and Lanayru have the same names as these spirits. Coincidence? Wow, this is one of the best things to do after beating a Zelda game.

This part frightened me. The very idea that Link could be corrupted by power like that, our dear sweet Link who's the hero forever and always saving the day.

It makes you realize just how powerful the fused shadows are that they could do that to him.

I think Twilight Princess is darker than Majora's Mask. Although, both are very sad :/

The seeming incoherency of this that eventually does make sense after all makes it look just like one's own nightmare. Using such familiar and dear characters – the main one being Link, "you, yourself," the player, creates such a great projection from the player onto the game and vice-versa that, as a result, the immersion of this cut-scene reaches its max and thus becomes *super-creepy.*

It's true! And I love Zelda-games for things like that, among others!

For some reason, this scene kind of.. strikes a chord with me, I guess? There's a remarkable amount of symbolism in it, and considering it's just (ported) Gamecube graphics, the facial expressions and other details are really good. Aaannnd then of course there's the bonus of three Dark Links, one Zombie-lookin' Link, a stoned Link, and it being heavily implied that Link stabbed Ilia =)

This scene so reminds of whats happening here on Earth with corruption in all forms. Power and Ambition will seem good at the time for awhile if used for bad things, but take that power away and you will become an empty shell of nothing, left to your own demise. Zelda games always have a soft-touch on me. Can't wait for the next one!

Seriously, someone thought Link and Illa represent adam and eve, and the Trifoce being the Tree of "good & evil", whicher one it's suppsoed to be.

No, just no.

One, there's like at least 3 versions of what the Eden tree was supposed to have.

Two, Link and Illa's eye-blanks represent the corruption of greed for power, like it warns in the text. Three, they forgot to say what the Dark Links represent.

If anything Abrahamic, they represent Islam, Judism, and Christianity (who rise out of the Realm of the Sacred out of nowhere) and how they appear to be (for) the people, but are actually just using his image for their own lust for power.

1:10 - 1:40 was awesome too. I wish the Dark Link alt costume in Brawl looked like that... in Brawl he just has super dark skin, when it should be pure black like here.
