as far as I know she has two "bands". One is the Hiromi's Trio, and the other is Hiromi's Sonicbloom (that's with David Fiuczynski as a guitar player, but I don't know the rest of the gang, it's this guy that's playing now)

and according to wiki Hiromi's trio consists of Martin Grey and Tony Valihora (bass and drumm in this video) :D :D so I'm not too sure who's playing here, though if I'd have to venture a guess I'd say this quartet is the one called Sonicbloom

@ljetibo From the concerts I have seen she does frequently change the musicians she plays with, and comes up with new sets. Couldn't say if it's two bands, as she is basically constantly on tour, so it's hard to imagine she'd have regular rehearsals with another band at the same time. (check out her tour calendar, it's quite impressive how this lady travels the globe to make people happy!)

From what is written on the CDs you are right, this one is labeled with Hiromi's Sonic Bloom..

@ljetibo Her latest album is called "the trio project", which is a trio of her, Anthony Jackson, and Simon Philipps, so I guess wiki is not up to date on that point. As any 3 musicians can be called a trio, it's fair to say that she also formed a trio with Martin Grey and Tony Vilahora... However, with the addition of David Fiuczynski these three then formed "Sonic Bloom". I think it's best to just look for each song you like, who plays in it. Her albums are defenitely worth buying anyways!

Dont know why anyone would want to see Hiromi with another guitar player... imho every player there is very talented and needs credit. David Fiuczynski has one of the most unique guitar tones ive heard in a long time, dont want to be jumping on anybodies toes, but giving the sound he gives without making the guitar sound like complete giberish is extremely hard, or so i think.
