I read that Reeve was to make an appearance in SUPERGIRL and backed out of the project. Thank god. The only reason Reeve agreed to do 4 was because he wanted Cannon films to back his movie STREET SMART and they agreed to only if he did 4.
@msmithstud Not surprising, He and Margot Kidder were pretty angry over the firing of Richard Donner. Hence, why Kidder has such a small role in Superman III as she was the most outspoken. He only returned to do it, because he was contractually obligated.
@halblow448 actually, Margot, Hackman, and Jack O'Halloran were pretty ticked at the way Donner was let go. Hackman refused to finish II and would have nothing to do with III.
Yeh, I wish he had of signed on to do Supergirl instead of Superman 3.. That was the worst of all the movies done by the Salkinds. Superman 2 and 3 were filmed on the same lake supergirl arrived .. good spotting;)
That was really awsome, I wished that Chris could have made at least one small appearance on Supergirl. Even if he was only Clark or Superman for a few minutes on screen.

Very good, and the interesting part is both the lake from Superman III and Supergirl is the same lake in reality not far from Pinewood Studios :D
