I don't dispute the studio. I still say its not a motown sound. Just becaiuse I buy a Ford doesn't mean its a truck.... Motown Records signed talent that was not part of Barry Gordys vision and Rare Earth was one of them. Motown was all Barry Gordy and had a distinct style. Rare Earth played what can be considered Funk or a Funk rock fusion.
