  • From all reports, it was Mick Taylor's idea to do the tune--onstage at Alamont-- and the band fought the idea at first

  • Mick Taylor was allowed to call tunes??!! That's the first I heard of that.

  • That's a good find, I'd never heard the Altamont version of Brown Sugar. They played it at that concert about a year and a half before the song was formally released as part of the Sticky Fingers album in March 1971.
