Just like everyone else said, the Turtle doesn't suffer. They cry to shed excess salt, and do this it all the time, only you can't see it underwater. They're also hardy animals, and can sometimes survive with only 3 flippers.

Like the presenter said...it just looks rough but its rougher on the people doing the tagging....I've been to an Olive Ridley conservation facility so I can say that these guys know what they're doin.....and to all those who're making silly comments about the turtle being 'sad' can u see it crying???

people who say this is cruel seriously don't understand...this is the only way to learn more about turtles and help them. there might be a better way to catch them but weighing and measuring them only gives them temporary discomfort and then they release them again so its ok!
