WARNING: This repair turned into a NIGHTMARE!

1ST MISTAKE: There was a tiny crack in the glass. It still worked fine, but I wanted it to look pretty.

2nd MISTAKE: ordered a new glass on eBay for $30.

After I took it all apart, I found out that the LCD is SUPERGLUED to the glass and the real part costs $140!

3RD MISTAKE: Letting my dad try to replace the screen, now it does not even turn on. So I call Apple and they want $200!

IVE ALREADY LOST $170! WHAT'S ANOTHER $200?

I'M DONE WITH IPHONE!

@softorsteeltip Undestand this... all iPhone 4 display LCDs are glued/built together onto the outer "gorilla glass" panel together with the digitizer. Meaning when your front outer glass breaks, you have to replace the LCD, digitizer and front panel all at once.

I don't think Apple expected their "gorilla glass" to break but sure thing it does break when you drop your iPhone by the corner end or with a very hard drop.
