  • Its kinda weird how he stares at him the whole time lol

  • why did it sound like if he was straining when doing warm up?

  • Comment removed

  • @coreypearson4 try going forward like he did in the video when he couldn't hit the high B. So you basically have to bend down (not too much) and push a little

  • sounds terrible !

  • haahahaaha 3:38....on repeat

  • its so cool watching every single one of them improve

  • Can anyone help? i try to do this exercise the "muh muh muh" exercise and cant help going into my falsetto into the high notes any tips

  • If you didnt know what singing is youll think they are bunch of idiots calling their mam.

  • 3:33 - 3:41 , now that's just creepy ^^

  • MO MO MO MOM MOM MOM MOM MOM MOM MOOOOO

  • Super Video thx !!!!

  • MOM MOM MOM MOM MOM MOM MOM MOM MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM! tada!!!

  • Jesse should stop Bill because he is straining all the way through.

  • this video is a fucking joke. pure garbage. in fact, this whole channel sucks for anyone who doesn't want some fuckwit telling them how to sing like a retarded 5 yr old

  • 2:13 TOP LEFT CORNER IS A FINGER

  • hahaha woah its drake bell

  • The Basics of Vocal Pedagogy The Foundations and process of singing by Clifton Ware is a standard university vocal pedagogy book by someone who has ACTUALLY studied the anatomy and needs of different singers. Voice is not a cookie cutter approach. Different singers, different thought process, different abilities. One size or (crazy man above) does not fit all (in his case any). I'm not trying to "bring him down or be negative" but does this guy actually have any degrees or history in voice?

  • at some point you got to go 1 octave higher

  • thats how im gonna call my mother from now on.

  • and my mom came

  • I thought he was singing Mooooooooouth

  • mamamamamamamamama lol

  • he sounds like that guy from southpark that uses the little box to talk when he goes up high at 3:34 :P

  • I saw a part of someone's hand on the top left lol

  • when I was seeing another video with the same intro on my ipod touch it scared me lol

  • Comment removed

  • lol I like how doing weird things in voice lesson helps you loosen up lol

  • That dude with the goatee is not opening his mouth when he sings. Why aren't you correcting him on this!? Sorry, not opening your mouth wide enough is my biggest pet peeve. If he doesn't open, all the sound won't come out and it will sound restrained.

  • @AngelofMusic101 this is just part of the lesson, i know for sure they correct him more. its only 4 minutes of a video there's more lol

  • "As I go DOWN" :D

  • SHEEP SONG meh mehehe heheh

  • HAAHAHHAH MAN

  • No slouching in your chair young man!

Oh, and if anyone wants a laugh, stop it at 1:39 and tell me what it looksl like he's doing. I'll give you a hint. He's right to be sitting down while making that face, but not in a chair.

  • did anyone see the finger at 2:11

  • I'm japanese.English isn't understood,so please put subtitles in.please.

  • lol omg i laughed so hard at this part 3:40

  • What if your voice keeps on cracking ? Like whenever you try to reach those high notes.

  • @akanishi18 than you keep practicing? lol look for lessons on improving your singing range, these guys made one too.. thats your limit and your basically pushing into your head voice once you start cracking

  • Also, I don't understand why this guy is sitting down while singing. Standing up is far better when you are just taking singing lessons.

  • @aerdna14 Sitting down is so much more relaxing and so much better for your throat to relax, standing up makes you get tired

  • @Jacc0s No, that's ridiculous. Sitting down compresses your diaphragm, which forces you to work harder to breathe. If you are taking singing lessons, you should always ALWAYS be standing up so that your body is properly aligned and you have lots of space in your stomach for your diaphragm to expand. That is the only way to learn proper breathing technique. If you can't relax your throat while standing up, you are doing something wrong.

  • omg, i laughed so freaking hard at the last 30 seconds. sounds like they are getting hit in the nuts.

  • He needs to lower his head the farther up the scale he goes. I hate seeing people lift their heads when they start straining for notes, because of the body subconsciously believing it will help. Genius how you make them do the head-lower without telling them by making them lean forward. That's coaching right thar :P

  • @FrostXFire Every medical source out there and endoscope video disagrees with what you think. If you don't lift your head then you don't have maximum space for the back of the throat to expand, the larynx and cricothyroid to lower and the jaw to create room for the vibration frequency. Lowering the body at that point is wrong.

  • @FrostXFire LOL

  • why did it point to the featured video?

  • I WAS GIGGLING THE WHOLE TIME.

COULD YOU GUYS DO A VID ON GROWLS LIKE THE KID YOU SOMETIMES HEAR IN ROCK, I HEAR GIRLS DO IT MORE THEN MALES AND I WANNA PERFECT MINE (IS A GIRL)

  • I WAS GIGGLING THE WHOLE TIM

  • 1:44 is really that hard to sing in that scale?

cuz I found it pretty easy for me =\

  • @MRevolution44 It depends how high your voice is, lol.

  • @MRevolution44 Then your either shouting, or doing it correct.

  • Teach me please : D:D :D :D :D :D

  • Can you start at age 15?

  • 2:13...finger...top left of the screen

  • WOW INSTANT IMPROVING

  • Comment removed

  • @IRecT3nZGaming Unless you've past 60, it is not too late. And even if you have, it doesn't mean you can't learn to sing anymore... If you want to learn, you can learn.

  • 3:58 => 4: 40 I don't understand why he can do?

Sympathy because I heard very bad English

  • HolyCrsp Dude.. Is That Normal ? O_O

  • This is sick!

  • this one helped the most.

  • what did he mean by "right in the middle" ? I mean I don't know how to keep it in the middle

  • @lynatrinanetwork To understand how to keep it in the middle (by "it", I mean your larynx), you first have to try to get it up and down. For people who are not used to sing high notes, it's more common that it goes up when they try to hit those notes, so put your hand on your larynx and see what happens when you go high on the pitch (not very high, don't hurt yourself). Hear how it sounds when it goes up. It sounds like straining, it sounds like a big effort, and it sounds bad.

  • @lynatrinanetwork Then, you must see how it feels when your larynx are down. This is more simple. Just put your hands on your larynx and talk/sing as if you were yawning. It should go down.

Now, to know how the middle position feels like, you have to try to find a sound that is neither as strained as the high larynx, nor as "yawn" as low larynx. Your larynx should feel and look in a intermediate position.

    I hope it helps.

  • OMG some one please explains the process for me? Please?

  • Hey it's Spiderman!

  • good, now he can sing higher :))

  • @IRecT3nZGaming

I'm going through puberty atm (I turn 15 on May the 17th), what would you do if you was in my position?

  • @IRecT3nZGaming It's never too late if you are alive

  • @EntanglemantSatan that just made my day:)

  • I love Jesse .. Very entertaining and informant

    Good #FTW

  • 1:38 , he looks as if hes doing the toilet. 0.0

  • What's the point of voice lessons? I'm a guy and I can sing anything from bass to soprano pretty damn well with no lessons.

  • @RELAXzzz12 ha. the point of voice lessons are because not everyone is so naturally perfect like you. Oh, and we aren't in denial.

  • @thecardinalrule i just dont see how voice lessons could really help anything. Either you can sing or you can't. You're very much in denial if you think that voice lessons are going to help you sing.

  • @RELAXzzz12 Wow are you serious? Doesn't matter if you're "born with it", you're going to suck and/or lose your voice without proper vocal lessons and lots of practice. I'd like to hear YOU sing >_>

  • @RELAXzzz12 tell that to the millions of people whose singing has improved by taking lessons. There is always room for improvement.

  • @RELAXzzz12 You clearly don't know anything about singing. I have been taking voice lessons since March 2011 and I have already gained half an octave in range from doing the exercises my teacher has given me, practicing my breathing and having her correct my singing as I do it to improve. It's true that some people are born with better voices than others, but singing lessons can't hurt, they only help. Eg: some people born with good voices may breathe incorrectly, lessons help them overcome that

  • @RELAXzzz12 wow, youre so dumb

  • @RELAXzzz12 Dunning–Kruger effect

  • @IRecT3nZGaming how is it to late to sing???? <.<

  • LOL

  • My mom thought I was calling her so she came to my room.....

  • @EntanglementSatan this so funny i kept laughing the hole vid

  • @EntanglementSatan ahahahaahah this made my day!

  • i just want to be able ti sing a song and not sound like shitl. i want to be the king of karaoke

  • Fuck lessons, im learning on my own

  • @crimsonheroX7 you will also fail miserably on your own. That's like saying f the doctor I'm going to get well on my own or f the pilot I'm going to fly on my own. If you really want to be able to sing well and for a long period of time the classical technique with a GOOD teacher (not this guy) is the answer. There's not a magic button or level where you know it all. It's an ongoing process because there is always a new challenge. Why? Because your body never stops changing, new hurdles

  • @bekbog go fuck yourself with your classical tehnique puto...

  • @ElfishPowers good to see you're holding down ignorance with vengeance. Btw, what does puto mean?

  • I am currently taking voice/acting lessons.. i have a class today, and i think we will be working on vocals. last week, she told me to sing like that, but i didn't know how, so i was looking it up. I think it got the basics now.. not suree.. :/ hopefully, because i REALLY want to learn how to sing the RIGHT way. ive been singing for a longgg time and i absolutely LOVE it. but since i was to be a performing artist, i got to learn how to sing the right way:)

  • Like this if you were holding ur throat going maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.........and sounded ridiculously stupid :)

  • I laughed so hard at 4:31 ;-D these guys are great! ;-D

  • he is ....putting pressure on his throat

  • 2:37 - 2:38 ..... my voice does that !!! :(

    - i want that to go away ? how can i get that voice away... it's like my voice is skipping a note..... or something...

Somebody gotta help me! i have a band, & i think i sing sucks because of the note .. :(

  • I YOU TOM CRUISE

  • 3:34 kind of reminds me of Jaws :O :O >:O :D

  • i like the ending, when he says "why not"

  • 2:11 ....the camera man was just making sure he had a finger.

  • at 1:01 is he singing Meeeeeeooooowwwww?:P

  • Tomorrows lesson, how to add 3 octaves by squeezing your testiclas!

  • @wasup23tube OMG dont make comments like that!! You made me laugh for half an hour!! So f-ing funny xD

  • @wasup23tube

justin beiber ha sbeen doin that since he was born! hahaha *grabs testicles* baby baby ooooowwwwwwwwwwww! ouch! (<justin beiber)

  • @wasup23tube it's "testicles" funny though.

  • Tomorrows lesson, how to add 3 octaves by squeezing your testicles!

  • some bad camera work in this :')

  • Wow.... I think this might've slightly worked :D

  • This video is incredible! The Singing Success channel has over 300 videos. I don't think I've seen a channel with that much stuff!

  • bill kinda looks like quinn allman from the used

  • @AFriendOfAxel lmao i know right lmfao!!!!!!

  • @AFriendOfAxel - hahahahaha

  • geeeeeze thats awesome!!

  • how come i can't control my voice box to be stable? after watching this i put my hands on my throat and sung and it keeps going up? and then i tried to control it but now i couldn't hit a high note :/ and i looked at the mirror, and even when im just talking my voice box still comes up? is there like a proper technique or is it something that you just get used to? what's the proper way to do it?

  • aha dis is crapp!!

  • The ma ma ma ma exercises really works 4 me.

  • uggghhhh. he really needs to put his chin back. he's pushing and straining his voice.. ggaaahh

  • so what you're trying to say is......by leaning forward, you can reach the higher notes higher?

  • i got a problem, i can't seem to keep my larynx neutral, it becomes really straining to sing afterwards its hard to reach a high note with a neutral larynx and when i try to sing higher i sound very nasal. Is there any solution to my problem?

  • Thumbs upif you repeated the part between 3:33 - 3:41 xD Lmao.

  • @s0raya030 ROFL!

  • If Brett Manning's way is not true, then he must not have the ability to D5 in his mix and have a 5 octave range!! You ass-holes, why don't you just study voice yourself and see if you can be like brett! remember, brett is just a BARITONE but he can reach d5 with his proven techniques! Make a thinking....

  • Do. Not. Push. Your. Voice. That's how you loose it. I do not like their way of "teaching" singing. He didn't tell him to use his diaphragm to push air. He is totally letting him strain his throat. That is how you get nodes.

  • @omfgitssamm Matter of fact, support does only come in hand when you have mastered some pre-requisites of this technique. If you can keep your larynx neutral, yes, that's when you use support.

  • @omfgitssamm I wasn't pushing my voice... and there wasn't any strain. To be honest.. i just looked like an idiot when I was singing higher because I was used to straining beforehand. I was used to making those faces to hit those notes. I wasn't necessarily flawless at it... because it was my first lesson and i still need to practice these methods... but I didn't strain my throat even a little when I was doing it correctly.

  • I'm sorry I'm suffering hugely from this same exact problem and Singing Success program is not solving it.

  • @StormBringer44 - The key is really focusing on how the sounds are made. If you do them wrong, it won't help.

  • Oh god this teacher sucks. He isn't even looking at the guy!

    My review:

While he sings the high notes he skips to falsetto, but this is fixed easily with lessons. GOOD lessons.

While he sings he's lifting his head, and that's also a bad habit.

    This teacher lacks experience.

  • thumbs up if you think the guy singing kinda looks like Shane Dawson with a beard...

  • @SuperShaneTV1 ha... he wishes.

  • MUH MUH MUH MAAAAAH MAAH MA MUH MUHH!!!

  • is it just me...or at the start of 4:02...the teacher was like goofing at the student and the student looks like he thinks this is strange...hahahaha :)) but nice vid!

  • @qtkid21 - Ha! it is totally strange. but it works... most of these techniques are odd at first... but get over that!!! they really help you as a singer to understand how the voice is working...and it allows you to control everything better.

  • @thecardinalrule You know what...I would have to agree.

  • Are the disks available for UK delivery?

  • @TheSnuffBox - YES they do....

  • I am about to take some lessons to sing my high notes better.

  • that guys posture is killing me...

  • All I'm gonna say is...... I like the voice instructors hair. XD

  • I can sing high!(:

  • 1:27

  • AND YOU WANT ME TO BELIEVE THAT THIS GUY NEVER HAD SINGING LESSONS??

I VE BEEN TAKING SINGING LESSONS FOR LIKE 2 YEARS YOU IDIOT!!AND THAT CANNOT BE HAPPENING ON THE FIRST LESSON!

WHAT DO YOU THINK WE ALL ARE??

    MONKEYS?

    GO FUCK YOURSELF!

  • @elffish79 - This was my FIRST (and only) vocal lesson... but I have been singing for ten years. Whether you believe it or not I learned a LOT from this lesson. Maybe if you paid more attention to the exercise instead of comparing yourself to other singers you could also increase your range. Cheer up!

  • @thecardinalrule How high did Jesse take you? The last note was C5. Y'all were going higher as the video faded. I'm guessing that you have gotten educated about the mixed voice. After watching this video, I realized my own problems.

  • @highnote32- I don't know. I don't really even know what C5 is. As a singer i'm lucky to work for Brett (full time designer) so, hearing lessons and tips on a daily basis I get to hear a lot of things that help me to understand my voice a lot better. Sadly to say, I am a lazy singer : ) hahaha. I don't practice and warm-up as much or as often as i should. You said you realized your own problems which is key! now the key will be to STRENGTHEN your vocal cords by doing the exercises consistently

  • @thecardinalrule You were pulling chest in the higher range...that caused you to strain. The 2nd time you were hitting the high notes in a mixed voice.

  • @thecardinalrule You were pulling chest in the higher range...that caused you to strain. The 2nd time you were hitting the high notes in a mixed voice. You cannot be singing in your chest voice in the higher range.

  • @elffish79 wow you sure are bitter good luck.....cuz your gonna need it.:0

  • @SkipyWasHere I beg your pardon?

  • @elffish79

It said that he has been a singer, but just didn't have lessons. You CAN be a singer without having had lessons. :(

  • never had singing lessons and he hits a c5? wtf

  • @Gretastina some are just born like that i guess i guess ha

  • @Gretastina he sounds like crap doing it though and is struggling

  • I DON'T GET IT, SO AS WE SING THE ''VOICE BOX'' SHOULD NOT MOVE UP OR DOWN AT ALL? IT SHOULD REMAIN IN ONE PLACE AS YOU SING? OR CAN IT MOVE EVEN A LITTLE UP OR DOWN?

  • @shegotmilk I know im confused to no matter what it still moves?

  • "As I go DOOWWWWNNN" Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

  • Just watching how this guy teaches inspires me! I'm so impressed, and I wish he was actually my voice coach.

  • is it okay to practice this while eating? =P~

ma ma ma ma ma ma ma ma mmmm..

  • O_O ma ma ma ma mammammaaaa

  • awesome.. n just because the voice instructor cant sing dosent mean he cant help people at lest he know the note

  • awesome..

  • This is sad. he let him go even if it is not there anymore.

  • what is this garbage? The vocal "instructor" sounds terrible. lol He explains things well but vocal quality is not there at all.

  • what a jackass
